  Totoraku Night (Totoraku): I can't believe this is still holding up as well as it is. The fruit is remarkably still there. And it actually held up over a couple hours open without falling off a cliff. A real pleasure to open at this point in its long life.

  Lovely red berry aromas with black cherry and toasted quality. Rich ripe and round in the mouth with a slightly drying finish. Very good black fruit flavor profile with a slightly rustic structure. 94

  Great Older Wines at the Place to Drink Great Older Wines (Tampa FL): Another bottle perfectly stored for decades, this showed beautifully in contrast to the flawed 1947. Mature black fruit with spice and tobacco throughout. Very energetic for its age, showing great mouth feel and textures.
