Yeah, this is the real deal. Classic St. Estèphe with black fruit, graphite, and greener tobacco leaf notes, conveyed on a medium weight frame with good acidity and plenty of grainy tannin on the back end. There's a sense of old school restraint to the flavours. It's more about potential than actual pleasure right now, though a couple of hours in the decanter lets the tannin ease up and the fruit emerge a bit more. This is something I need a lot of in the cellar. It's as classic and old school a bottle of Bordeaux as any I've had in a while and a killer value.

Consumed over two days. Black cherry, cassis, graphite, black currants, red spice, plums and red licorice. Delineated and focused, with a long, flowing finish and medium to full body. Silky tannins. A formed middle, with a slight gushing aspect. Really classy and enjoyable, yet this will age without effort. Better on day two. Drink 2026 -.

Slightly dilute red over black fruit, sweet oaky spice, a little mint, cigar box, savoury spice shows with time and agitation. Juicy tending to medium plus intensity acidity, blue and black berry, grape over wood tannins offer savoury grip on the finish. Slight out of whack . Hmm at the mo'

Distracted by this cheesy, yogurt, lactic acid thing. Maybe a flawed bottle? It blew off after about 36hrs of airtime.

Langtons Bordeaux 2020 Arrival Tasting (Sydney, Australia): very balanced very classical. Like a very good wine from a slightly lesser vintage.
