Community Tasting Notes (7) Avg Score: 91.5 points

  • 90% Marsanne, 10% Roussanne (it's on the back label).

Color/App: light straw yellow with medium + viscosity. Bouquet of white peach and white flowers, lemongrass and an ocean breeze salinity. Fairly full-bodied palate showing stone fruit, white flowers (again), green melon and a touch of lime and honey. Finish lingers on the palate and though the acidity could be a tick higher, I think it's pretty much spot-on for Marsanne/Roussanne. Delicious, though probably too young for drinking now (upside). If I had more, I'd probably wait 3-4 years before trying another. Vacu-vinned and held in fridge over 2 nights with consistent notes. 92+

  • Lean, less than fully ripe white peach waxiness confronts a saline, limestone minerality with notably ripe stem tanins, and searing length in the finish. Suggest 5-6 more years. This is undoubtedly well made, but not ready for fullest enjoyment. May well deserve a better score later.

  • Nose subtle lime, yellow grapefruit and candy cotton. Opens to show white peach some toasted white bread. Palate light lemon rind, some basil, white flowers, lime acidity. Touch of almond sweetness.

  • Classic blend of Marsanne and Roussanne. Aromatic floral notes on the nose. Hi acidity and prominent minerality. Palate of citrus, stone fruits, and tropical notes. Paired wonderfully with pan fried white fish and roasted herbed red potatoes.
