  • In great shape, med. gold yellow; yellow apple skin, blanched almond, peach pit; some vanilla oak still; viscous, med- acid, a bit oily but not heavy, slight phenolic bitters finish. 60%Marsanne, 40% Roussanne. Blind. A good dose of oak made some think it was a CA Chard. Kamizono party

  • Sadly a little bit over the hill. Not really oxidized but a bit tired, slight nuttiness and a sourness that shouldn't be there in a great wine like this. These bottles took a dive a couple years ago it seems. Hiro's

  • Noticeably darker than last time with slight burned notes of toffee, hint nuts, earthy dry-wall-masonry aspect with a hint of anise-tar thing going on. Medium round, elegant for this style, mod. acidity, not too flabby and broad, bitter phenolic finish. Good, but prefered this younger and more bright and elegant. Drink up now or in the next 2-3 years. Really good with spinach and ricotta Malfatti, Deepfried Lumpia roll, and killer with roasted brussel sprouts.   • Very interesting bottle. Thick mouthfeel. Very stony with the soil present. Picking up almond and lemon. Golden color. I'd definitely purchase again.

  • Evolué, avec son nez de miel et d'acacia, il commence à faiblir, les notes d'oxydation s'empressant de venir avec l'aération. La cire et la couleur paille dorée le confirment.
    En bouche, il manque de dynamisme, et si la longueur est tout juste correcte, il se montre ample, rond, et minéral. C'est un vin de repas, moins puissant que le 2006, à marier judicieusement pour ne pas l'affaiblir.
    Au final, décevant. Je pense qu'il faut les boire...
