  • didn't expect too much of this lesser vintage, 13 years later. rather reticent and tertiary (dried herbs, hay) nose upon opening. interesting but rather short body centred around honey & wax. it was only after 1hr that this oldie came to life, paired with food (cod, green curry, winter veggies). the 2008 vintage still shows, but the result is a balanced wine (honey, dried fruit & flowers with enough body (alc) & longevity (acid)) that lives up to the reputation of "Chevalier de Sterimberg". If you still have bottles of this vintage left, I wouldn't wait too long to drink them.

  • I was slightly underwhelmed, hence my below 90 rating. I opened and decanted it a good 1 hour before our meal. The color was beautifully golden, but the nose was quite flat. It did not have the kind of body I was expecting. Very subtle but faint floral notes, not very long in the mouth. The bottom line is: it was not good enough for my wonderful home made risotto with fresh Alba truffles... !

  • Crystaline. Delicate peach. Great sushi accompaniment at Nobu.

  • Drank in London
This is really lovely stuff. Lot's of toast, flowers and yellow fruits on the nose. Rich mouth feel with a nice length. Will come back for more.
