  Kräftiges Rubinrot. Vom Holz geprägte Nase, deutliche Röstnoten, dunkle Frucht, Brombeeren, auch reife Himbeeren, Kräuter. Der Gaumen ist fleischig, rund, feine Tanninstruktur, knackige Frucht, der Wein baut Druck auf, wirkt nicht überladen, grosse Harmonie, sehr gute Länge. Ein hochwertiger Wein, der von einigen Jahren Kellerreife profitieren wird. 2027-2040+

  Merchant walkabout tasting of the 2021 burgundy vintage in bottle. I really liked this vintage, the wines were showing well. It is lighter and crisper than the 2020, more open at this stage and easier to drink, but there is no under-ripeness. Comparing it to recent vintages, I see it as a slightly cooler version of 2017. TN: This was one of the stars of the line up, unfortunately sold out already due the small production in 2021 but this had lovely oak notes iwth coffee married with precise fruit, soft mouth feel. A bit of a crowd pleaser style but what is not to like.
