Terroir driven, old-fashioned Chablis. Intensely mineral nose with typical, chalky aromas. Focused, acidic concentration on the palate. Not perfectly balanced, but a lot to enjoy for hardcore Chablis fans. A hint of what 2002 could have been without premox problems.

Quite oxidized. Premox or not, I did not expect any oxidation from this wine, since this is a quality producer. On the other hand I have had some bad experiences with 2002 from both Alsace, Germany and Chablis, so maybe it is the vintage? Still some chalky aromas and (mature) fruit, though, and not undrinkable at all. But rating reserved.

Is it prem-ox for a 10 year old 1er Cru Chablis to have turned horribly wrong, or am I asking too much of the wine to expect something good or even decent at this point? I vote for the former. Undrinkable

Grønngul. Syrlig, mineralsk nese, litt sitrusfrukt og bivoks. Frisk, syrlig og mineralsk smak, med sitrus og moden sydfrukt. Bra finish.

Fresh color. Intense mineral aromas. Dry, with a bit coarse mouth feeling. The wine is not the most elegant, but it is surely concentrated and long.
