In the back of the cellar was quite enjoyable. Medium gold color. Dry orange peel, almond, smoke on the nose. Some oxidative notes on the palate, lightly sherried, with bitter orange and saline. Slightly waxy texture. Short length with a clipped, drying finish, but the lively acidity and bitter orange add interest. This is a very different wine from the one I adored in its youth, and certainly well beyond its prime, but very enjoyable for the smoky, waxy, oxidative wine that it still is.

Stupendous nose - an aged nose, oily, buttery, palate doesn’t match up, bit abrupt, drink up if you have this
