Well it was the 3rd bottle of the night but this wine came off the cork swinging and pleasing Feral, sauvage and truffly aromas with a pretty young complexion. I found the wine to be in a perfect place with loads of fruit, correct tannins and length. My friend suggested that the wine needed more time but we both agreed that we'd rather pull the cork earlier than too late. We've all held those few bottles for a bit too long, eh? Anyways I wish I had more. I've got lots of crus in the cellar that should also be ready to go.
4/5 - Dark ruby/almost brown colour, cloudy with small sediment. Unfortunately this is probably over the hill, this was very smooth with little tannin or acidity, the fruit was somewhat sweet, plum, prune, some sweet sherry / almond notes. Shouldnt have waited 6 years since the last bottle.
