A slightly perplexing wine, all about the nose today. Quite a captivating scent, all pinosity rather than fruit, with a touch of earthiness. less interesting in the mouth and sort of closed without promising much from further time in bottle. wish I had another to try in a few years time.

A few recent wines: what a delicate but interesting nose. Some signs of maturity here now, with bricking edge and early forest floor aromas. good acidity maintains freshness still predominately red fruits on the palate. Lovely Chambolle, light on it's feet and so drinkable. I think this is premier cru standard.

Garnet core fading towards the edge. Wonderful aromas of ripe red fruits with some forest floor and spice. Silky smooth in the mouth with more red fruits but some interest too, and a long finish of sweet fruit. Last glass the best - plenty of life left. Overall an elegant wine that was super with roast chicken.

Weekend with friends; 7/21/2007-7/22/2007 (Home): Bright garnet with a watery edge. Some secondary aromas of forest floor just starting to show with the raspberry fruit. Elegant and complex palate just becoming interesting with a good finish of sweet fruit. A refreshing wine after some powerful rhones before.
