Medium-dark ruby/brick. Nose of raspberries, kirsch, and a bit of horsey/Brett notes. Silky, rich mouthfeel. Berries and Brett on the palate that appeared cleaner and more pure on day 2. Still good tannin and sufficient tannin to age; some sweetness on open. A bit awkward and surprising initially that improves with a day of air. Hold.

Much more rustic than I was expecting. There was some orange/brown along the edges. Slightly bitter at first but then opened up nicely. Strong aromas of leather, cinnamon. Excellent finish.

Had been sitting on this bottle for many many years and served it with a traditional Piedmontese dish of Panissa Risotto. I see the mass appeal of this bottle - the touch of French Oak lifts the aromas and gives the wine a roundness and upfront flavors that Nebbiolo usually lacks. It makes the wine much more approachable and enjoyable. On top of that, the strength of this vineyard can easily be seen with the complex flavors, intense acidity, and fine astringency. It’s a magnificent effort.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled this from my cellar. The color had started to brown so didn't expect much. But it was beautiful and properly balanced with rustic red fruits, acidity and earthy tones. Had a couple of glasses, hopefully still shows well tonight. Have one more of these to pull, it's time to drink up while it is singing its last encore.

Definitely drinking well right now. This was outstanding. Popped and poured and that was the good decision. Cheers.
