Beautiful. I wouldn't call it light bodied, but it is less than medium bodied if that makes sense. Nicely balanced. Very earthy in flavor profile but not strongly pronounced because of its light body. Aromatic. Some (red berry?) fruit. Very long finish that is quite alluring.

Atsushi supps (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): The power was still there in this bottle but that blood/iron note I picked up last time I tried it has morphed into quite sharp acetic acid note on the palate which rather dominated the other characteristics. Fortunately the tannic weight and general heft was there to cope with chateaubriand. Pity.

Decanted three hours from magnum. Well balanced mod to high acidity, some red fruit/ mushroom. Hint of sweetness, tannins mostly resolved. Went well with cornish game hen

Considerably more advanced than the bottle almost three years ago. Based on this bottle, the wine is now fully mature with a silky texture, lightness on the palate, but also ampleness, smoky Rugiens red fruits, but also structure of the white soils. Much more elegance than one usually expects from Pommard, especially Rugiens. Purchased on closeout in 2014.
