Awesome! Great balance. Very interesting wine. Mouthcoating but with great acidity and lots of mineral flavors. The most dominant flavor is lemon drop but also has some hints of sandalwood or something like that. Very drying. Very, very long finish.
Brief notes of excellent wines at Christine and John's (Wellington, New Zealand): The first of an excellent pair of white Burgundies, each perfectly showing the characteristics of its climat. The Boillot was quite lean and a little austere compared to the Roulot. It was elegant and precise, but powerful with excellent fruit weight, complexity of flavour and length. As well as reflecting the house style, the Boillot also showed the 2008 vintage with sparkling, attractive acidity I liked very much.
Powerful, linear, primary and closed. Not easy to gauge where this is heading as it is so shut down. Lemon citrus dominated with no hint of what may be underneath, one would expect mineral and stone fruit complexity which is not evident today.
