Glistening vibrant yellow color. Wonderful nose with citrus and a little toasted wood. Tastes of citrus and minerals. Full flavor. Past its prime but still very good.

My bottle, purchased on release. WOW. The nose is explosive and made me swoon - this is why we drink White Burgundy. It had matchstick, deep brown spices (nutmeg, allspice), some lemon drop, something sweet from integrated oak - vanilla or brulee. The palate shows the same elements with more citrus, some more lemon, maybe a bit of lime? Some minerality as well - but the major players are the rich fruit and the creamy brulee sweetness. This is completely mature - the mouth feel is supple and silky - there is maybe a touch less grip than this Riesling lover wants, but the complexity and mouthfeel win me over. The finish is complex, but not quite as gripping as I would like. Still, pretty damn impressive. Drink within the next 5 years I would say. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

Some random exclusive wines (@ TBa): Concentrated and expressive wine with a lot of firm citrus, tropical fruits and a good dose of toasted oak. Extremely tasteful. Great pleasure now and probably for the next 3 - 5+ years.

Citrus, lemon oil and flint. Firm palate with sharp acidity and tension. Lovely.

I served this in my wine course. Ripe floral nose, mid weight mouthfeel, long savory but somewhat austere finish.
