Wow, this is a very young bottle. Full of deep, vibrant, purple fruit, orange peel. Typical Ridge perfume and floral notes. Some leather and tar black fruit. Strong and delicate at the same time. I've had this wine probably a dozen times, this may be the best bottle I've had. A-
Zins, Serbians, Syrahs and others (Lou's): Really drinking quite well. This was a back up bottle. Ruby/purple in color. The nose is very complex with black and red raspberries, some leather, some black pepper. On the palate, this seems much younger. Nice texture. Layers of complexity. Lot of fruit left too. For a few, this was the WOTN.
