Lost in a tasting to 70 Trotanoy. Silver medal not bad. Third was 96 Margaux and 99 Petrus runt of the litter. Go figure. This wine is outstanding. Buy all you can.

i felt weird rating this wine because im rating it against all the bottles of 04 margaux i had the week before which not only had better fruit but was a more complete wine. In this case the nuances of bordeaux were apparent and i think the winemakes made the best of a subpar vintage. I got so much pleasure from this bottle. Reminds me of 89 pichon but younger.

what a complete, nuanced wine. Fruit tasted handpicked. Brilliant out of the bottle. Had with john at lotus of siam in vegas. Finish is endless. Went well with duck curry;)
