Drabk this with Phil, Paulo, and Ric at Le Perigord. We put it up against Hartford, Kistler, and Martinelli pinot's and this was by far the nicest wine. Smooth, rich, fat texture. Integrated alcohol and earthy flavors. Despite not being from a great year I really enjoyed this.

A great example of a tremendous producer making a delicious wine in an off vintage.

Classic cdp similar to the 2000 pegau.

...despite all the glowing notes i found this wine hard and monolithic...sure it is huge but the flavors were simplistic and there is ZERO elegance to the texture. This was drank with 2 Janasse CDP's that showed so much more refined flavors. I hope this wine develops over time into something different but I am highly concerned.
