Corked. Unfortunate because this had the makings of a really good wine but for the TCA taint. Great color that belied its age.

Completely oxidized. Had been stored in a temperature controlled unit since purchased from Harlan. Down the drain.

This was drinking great. Great vintage, great producer. Stood toe to toe with an '02 Confuron Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Beaux Monts.

WOTN. Amazing! I agree with Eric's note from earlier this year about the piercing acidity. Laser-like focus. Tons of lemon and citrus. Not nearly as yeasty as 85, 88, 89, 90, or 95 vintages. This will age effortlessly for 20+ years, but why wait!

This was a controversial wine. Some liked it, some didn't. I liked it for what it is. Nobody will ever confuse this with burgundy, but that's not the point. This is a big, well made California pinot with sweet red fruit (strawberries and raspberries) and fairly heavy oak. A long finish. I did not find this to be disjointed or hot, particularly since the listed alcohol is 15.8%. No signs of decline. I'll drink my remaining bottles over the next three to five years.

Outstanding. Unbelievable richness and finish. The roussanne component is really starting to show. One of the better aged California white Rhone blends I've had, outside of a Sine Qua Non.

Great acidity, intensity, and a mouth-coating richness. Surprisingly dark color for a 2006.

Best wine I've had in a long time. Amazing intensity, purity of fruit, and balance. Finish goes on for over a minute. Don't be afraid to open one now, as it is hitting on all cylinders!

What a great way to finish the night. This is in a great place right now. Caramel, honey, and orange marmalade flavors with a moderately long finish. Not cloying at all like some younger Sauternes. Sadly, this was my last bottle.

Wow! Layer after layer of flavor. One of the best wines I've had in the last couple years. Amazing purity of fruit and a finish that goes on for minutes. WOTN in an amazing lineup that included three first growths and a Screagle.

Great acidity and freshness. Revisit in a few years after it has a chance to develop more yeasty notes, but this has the stuffing to be one of the best Dom's ever.

Non-blind to me, but blind to others. This is aging nicely. Long finish. Maybe not the most profound SQN I've ever had, but it's quite good. I like this better than the Atlantis.

Started to open this for a blind tasted but then decided not to based on the last three CT notes. Opened later in the evening non-blind. It was just okay at best, sort of lean without the red fruit I've come to expect from these wines. Makes me think the Aubert pinots are best consumed in the first 3 years after release.

Last bottle. This was fantastic. Made almond crusted salmon with a lemon cream sauce, and I knew just the bottle to pair with it. Loads of citrus and lemon oil. Long finish. Sad to see the last of my 04s, but time to move on to the 05s.

Over the course of a couple hours, this was two different wines. For about an hour after opening, it was thin and metallic. I was ready to open another bottle, but about an hour in it picked up weight and started showing it's stuff. Make sure you decant if you drink one soon!

From 375ml. Poured in glasses and allowed to get some air while we were finishing our Kir Royales on Valentine's Eve. This was rocking! This has much more of a black fruit profile and a much darker color than prior vintages. This is going to be great for a long time. I won't touch any of my 750ml bottles for several years, but I'll maybe try another 375ml in 2012.

Wow! Opened at a holiday BYO party with a pretty amazing lineup of about 15 wines, and I think it was the red wine of the night -- certainly better than all the other cabs, including the '02 Insignia, '01 Peter Michael Les Pavots, and '95 Caymus SS. Great spice box nose and a smooth long finish. It was well balanced and not overly extracted. This wine will be good for years to come, but it is in a really good place right now.

Consumed at a large pinot tasting with 17 other wines. These was the unanimous last place wine. I had this in the past and thought it was a well made, though over the top wine, but this bottle was clearly flawed. Funky acidity on the nose with a very high residual sweetness. I hope it was a bad bottle and not a sign of what's happening to this wine with the passage of time.

Wow!! I thought this might be a little over the hill, but not even close. Beautiful golden color...the roussanne in the blend really stands out...floral nose with a touch of honey...I enjoyed the nose for about 10 minutes before ever taking a sip. Rich and extracted on the palate...almost unctuous...reminded me a little of an Alban Roussanne (probably some fruit from that vineyard), but with more nuanced secondary characteristics. Very impressive for an almost 10 year old California white wine.

Decanted for about an hour, rebottled and then consumed about another hour later at restaurant. Very typical Kistler nose and extraction...jammy red fruit, a touch of violets on the nose. This was very enjoyable.
