Not the best bottle sadly, cork had a good bit of seepage and the wine was all over the place. With no air it had a bright cherry note and a full mouth explosion, some air brought on a sickly sweet off flavor and then more air dropped that off and left a good but faded wine, you could taste the echos of magic but not magic itself.

Shocking to me how good this was. The tannin is fully resolved so the palate is composed exclusively of deep, rich, saturatingly penetrating fruit that has the savor and sap to taste positively luscious. The finish evokes more tertiary characteristics of earth and briar.

THE Burgundy Dinner (The Doctors Nosnik Cellar - Dallas TX): I can't tell if this was a problematic bottle or just showing 1983's challenges, but this was tired and clearly showing signs of decay.
