  nice but not great, had typicity of old bonnes mares, but there was so much less depth than I would have expected, a bit on the tart side (especially for B/M), nice light bright fruit, but again just a little tart / tired relative to what I had hoped for... assuming this bottle wasn't off for some reason I would def'ly drink up ASAP -- I suspect this bottle was better ten years ago

  Blood, iron, dark fruit, and sous bois on the nose. Palate still has some tannins with high acidity. The black food is fully mature and softened. The wine is very integrated with grand cru power and depth. It probably lacks the fruit sweetness to rate it higher. 92-93

  La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Very mature, ripe black fruit with lots of intense barnyard, in a mostly pleasant way.
