What you’d expect. Tannins are gone but still lot of fruit and acid. Good showing. Color was excellent. Bit of funk at the beginning but blew off. 17/20

Comprehensive Jacques Selosse dinner (Source by Wolfgang Puck, Washington D.C.): Served double blind by RJ, most guessed from the 80s to 90s. Still youthful color. Expressive earthy nose displaying decadent red fruit, slightly dry cherry, stewed tomato, dark spices, iron, sauteed mushroom, grilled meat and earth. Excellent concentration, dry cherry and grilled meat driven palate impression, bright acidity and strong presence of earthly mineral, and a long sweet red fruit driven finish. Very good showing.

I'm a sucker for mature burgundy, so perhaps the score a bit inflated….but this wine rocked for me. Some browning but ruby core. Great texture and mouthfeel…pure silk. Tea, leafy. Great depth and length. It just wouldn't quit on the finish.

La Paulee 2.0 S.F.: Off the list at RN74...what a treat! Pnp...could have used some air...first thing I wrote was "dusty old wine cellar". Aged delicate bright strawberry, watermelon, tart raspberry fruit....tilled strawberry field, dusty spice, wet leaves...some sous bois, leather. Still quite alive...but really hanging by a thread.

Avery Family Cellar Inaugural Wine Dinner - Really old wines (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Corked #%$%#!!! Nevertheless, extremely youthful and vibrant. I will still rate the wine @96 pts, J/K.
