(Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares) Similar intensity to the 2000 Chambolle 1er, but the colour has a more purple shade. Much more communicative on the nose with blacker dried and slightly spiced fruits. No spice on the palate, instead there's dense, concentrated and muscular black, tarry fruit. Much more primary so less complex than the 1er Cru but a lovely creamy finish tops of this performance. Very impressive.

Drunk over 3 days.It was à point on day 2,absolutely singing.2000s continue to outperform predictions.Lovely nose and structure, but unlikely to improve from here.Maybe a little light, but I prefer that to the opposite.An absolute joy to drink.

The nose was quite subtle with notes of sous bois, spices, mushroom and stewed fruit. It was muscular in the mouth though without the concentration of a good Musigny. I guessed a 90s grand cru from Morey. 90

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Nose of strawberry, cool elements as well, precise, cool, impressive. Clear and light color, a bit to watery almost but good overall.
