Best bottle yet. Starting to be ready. Classic softened Pauillac with great cassis nose and flavour. Good levels of concentration. Best after 2 hour decant.

Graphite, hints of leather, black fruit. Loved the nose! In the mouth - whilst good, was also a bit underwhelming. Think this could do with 5 years more at least. I like GPL and have quite a stash of various vintages, but PLL/Lynch Bages it is not.

Very dark red/purple color. Opened about an hour before pouring. Siggy and Jennie's bottle. Drank a couple glasses over an hour plus. Now these are really beginning to show nicely. I've found the '95 GPL to have been showing generally well, especially for a '95, but this appears to be coming into it's own now. With minimal air, this was a giving classically styled Pauillac off the bat. Pretty dark fruits, more subtle potpourri, pencil and leather notes abound. This is full bodied, with some scorched earth and tannins that are slightly austere. Really nice with our steaks at Tado, pre-show for George Thorogood.

Classic Pauillac! Deep garnet color, clear. Big nose upfront with tobacco, earth, dark cherry and currants, leather....keeps going. The palate is more of the same with some wet gravel and the earthiness fading into wild mushrooms. Sift tannins and acidity are still carrying this forward another 5-8 years. Long enjoyable finish. Happy to have another 10 bottles.
