Reminds me of my 98 Musar. Great wine, way into its glorious tertiary journey. Still good acidity and sweet silky tannins. Very special. I believe my last bottle, but if I find more - no biggie - this will keep going.

Very serious Syrah. For me more of anymalistic, somewhat rustic, cote rotie than silky smooth hermitage. Still lively acidity keeping it fresh. Very good.

Last bottle of this vintage, in going back over my notes looks like '15-16 may have been the peak for me. Still tannin and acidity to make for a graceful fade. Needed to be consumed with food to be enjoyed; on its own a vegetal cabernet edge dominated.

Excellent. Decanted off ample sediment 90 minutes in advance. Big nose - smoky, sweaty, black currant. Very nice on palate with a lift from some still-present acidity, touch of green olive, smoked meat. Tannins soft. Love the evident contributions from both the cab and syrah. No fall-off after another hour+ in decanter & glass. Would place this just past peak maturity given the structural balance (and 35 years of Trevallon fandom). From a cool cellar.
