Vinotemp storage since direct purchase, PnP and enjoyed over 2 nights.
Weird air pressure hiss upon opening has me concerned for spontaneous fermentation but the wine was tasty and actually in a better place than previous bottles had been.
I still don't know about the value proposition. I expected more of an elegant style and I'm just not seeing it. I'd confuse it with a lot of Russian River PN

Passive cellared since release. PnP with roasted salmon.
Medium garnet, nose of baking spice, dust and berries. Smooth entry explodes with sweet earthy red fruit. Finishes sweet and a bit hot.
Either this wine is in a bad place or it’s punching way below its weight. It reminds me of much warmer climate pinots watered back a bit.— Those same ripe characteristics but not as heavy. Maybe the acidity is just lacking for my palate???

This showed great saturation, concentration, elegance and flat-out beautiful fruit; the whole package. Heady aromas of dark cherry and blackberry, smoky and a bit of barnyard on the palate. A bit of sulfur that took some time to blow off. Maggie really is a dedicated and gifted winemaker, too bad her pinots have gotten so pricey these days.

The 2009 Antica Terra exhibits a lovely complex nose. Still after nine years in the cellar, it is full of deep red fruits, minerals and the varietal typical softish tones of rainy deciduous forest. Tannins are nicely integrated and the wine sings with one strong voice - not a soft hearted Pinot to be found here... All components are in place and the wine certainly is ready to drink. Overall impression is still very positive.

Black and red cherry with baking spice and vanilla. Starts out on slightly ripe, then comes across as lean and edgy near the finish. Still drinking nicely, I'd expect it will certainly hold up well for a few more years.

Slow ox for 3 hours. Then 2 hours in the decanter. Was really happy with this. Color shows a bit of bricking. Nose has some real depth to it, with some herbal notes and lavender. Palate was very nice and both fruit and secondary flavors abounded. Finish left a little to be desired - not that it was short, just a bit harsh.
Glad to see how this did with some cellar time. And I think it has the stuffing to do just fine with another few years laying down.

Dark red color. PNP, drank 2+ glasses over 2 hours. This was a very classy bottle of wine as expected. The nose evokes cherry, lighter dry earth notes, and spices. The palate has an elegance about it, medium body, cherry and some black cherry fruit, dry earth, dusty, good intensity and a very nice texture along with a very appealing spice character on the finish. Balanced, excellent. 92(+?)pts.

Showing some nice developing complexity but didn't Wow me especially considering the cost of the wine. May show some improvement over the coming two years

Compared to 09 Shea, was a little more austere, funky and old-worldish. Still, a fabulous wine, preferred to the Shea by half those present. Leather, spice, forest floor, funk.

I'm partially dinging this wine on the price and the style. I guessing someone could say this wine is worth more than 89 points devoid of price or that this is an excellent representation of the Willamette archetype, but to me this wine is too jammy and fruit forward. These grapes haven't suffered. They have been coddled. They have grown amid fine years with sun on their faces and water in the roots.
So you can guess I like a more austere, terroir driven pinot.
I am stuck on this wine because I won't buy it again, not even at $30-40 if offered. I can find goor RRV, Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley and Green Valley pinots that have suffered and have the strength of backbone to show it, not leaning on big fruits that belong in a merlot, cab franc or even Grenache heavy GSM.
So when I give this wine 89 points, I do so grading up for the Willamette style difference. On a pure absolute basis versus what I like, this is an 86/7 point wine.

Opened and rank. Very smooth silky Pinot with good acidity, which I like. There was a cola element with light bright red berries. It got better with time in the glass. My first and glad I have more.

Ruby red in color. 13.5% ABV. Dark fruits, earth, mint, roses and mineral on the nose. Medium body with nice acidity. Black cherry, cola, mushroom, stones, strawberry and a touch of leather on the palate. Polished wine with silky tannins. The finish is long and spicy. Drink over the next 2-4 years.

This cuts a nice path between the power and elegance styles of WV Pinot, and does a nice job of it. Asian spice dominates the nose, with mixed red berries and cherry fruit. There is a slight undercurrent of funky earth from time to time, but not very prominent or persistent. Silky yet plush texture, so maybe that's something like satin as it has more weight than silk. (Now if it added a bit of rockiness/angularity in there it would be even better to me.)

Exactly what you expect from a good Willamette Valley Pinot Noir at this price point. I would compare this (no better and no worse) to the Penner-Ash Willamette Valley. Nose of cherry and Asian spice. Medium-light body with flavors of cherry, raspberry, spice and bay leaf and a hint of forest floor. Nice complexity to the wine where you keep finding additional nuances with each sip.

Nose of bright berries, cherry, new leather, rich soil, and toasted notes. Beautiful palate, with expressive red fruits and hints of floral. Toast carries through as well. Medium-bodied, refined tannins, and perfectly integrated acidity. Superb straight from the bottle.

Color is nice, not great. Nose is deep pinot without overbearing alcohol. Balanced taste across palate with strawberry, cherry, earthy AND I cannot get to the soul of this wine. I want it to be worse or better not standing still. I would have no problem ordering this at a restaurant and I may lean towards trying something new.

Big and rich with an incredible dark garnet color, candy-shop aromas of strawberry pie and roses that carry to palate in layers of strawberry, boysenberry, cherry cola, with notes of mushroom, cinnamon and Asian spice. Paired with Branzino al Greco perfectly, and blew our dinner guests away. Will continue to evolve for 5+ years, in a style that evokes a mix of Santa Lucia Highlands and Ribbon Ridge fruits. Maggie strikes again.

The fourth bottle consumed over the past year and second note. These are very indicative of the warm, rich and ripe 2009 vintage in Oregon. Darker colored, rich, pure flavors of cherry, cola, and ripe raspberry. Same for the nose with a tad of tea spice mixed in. A relaxed lush approach to pinot noir. The 2010's are brighter with more cut, and after watching these for year I am inclined to finish the the 2009 version before moving to the more aciditic 2010's.

A pleasing pinot. Left to open up around 30 minutes and finished a few hours later expanding with time. Berry & candy on the front, color is good, and fruit is good, too. I enjoyed the wine, solid experience, not extraordinary or memorable. May need more time in the bottle.

This was opened, and poured about 30 minutes later. This is a really delicious Pinot, that delivers exactly what it should. Lot's of fruit up front, nice mid palate, and a slightly bitter finish. This was opened alongside a Meiomi Pinot, and the differences were striking. The Antica was lighter, more fruit, and seemed to display a tremendous balance. I think Maggie makes some incredible wine, and I look forward to more of these in the future.

Simple&lean red berries. Mild oaky on the nose. Just right amount. Like that not too exceed. Bright ruby color. Quite silky on palate&smooth, but finish was kinda not impressive(cuz of 13.5%???). I don't see it has a aging potential. Good OR Pinot. Clean... But, I wanna consume all my bottles&enjoy soon within this year.

My least favorite of the '07-'09 trio. Nose of ripe black cherry, hint of cola, saline, and meat. Palate is quite concentrated, lush and round, though there's plenty of acidity. Adds a slight gamy notes to the rather sweet black cherry. Some harshness and heat poke through on thee transition to the finish, and this is the major detractor for me. The finish rushes back with stone, vanilla, and lush fruit. Concentrated and plush style, usually not what I like just for whatever reason I do like this producer when in the mood. This year was the first I've gotten heat and I've noted it in all 3 bottles. Doubt time will help.

Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Time and time again, Maggie does wonders with both her Pinot and Syrah bottlings. Funky, truffles, earth, very pronounced nose. Pretty super floral action with very ripe and creamy styling. Really nice and feminine. Leaner but still very funky. Love this style of wine. Great presence. Basically guessed this blind!

has a light appearance, very ruby-like, the bouquet pops from opening and continues to open with air, scents of fresh forest, red flowers and strawberry, light but intense palate that showcases the balanced acid tied together with flavors of cranberry, smoke, blackberries and spice, well-crafted, feminine, nuanced, overall elegant, ready to drink, excels in a cooler room temperature, consumed with cheddar cheese on toast

Color appears lightly extracted but it has a much bigger footprint. Has a great nose of cherry liquor and damp forest floor. Palate is round lush and ripe, with well balanced acidity. The finish is as expected, but a get a flash of heat and cherry liquor flavor (almost cola) that kinda hangs in the background and really detracts, though the wine pulled together and this dissipated with air. This confirms my prior impressions of this bottle. I still love '07 and '08 and went long on '10.

Upside, great color; Served with Bison, squash, and spicy kale---did not work out....Jammy and rich but not necessary in a good way. Did not make the mark for us…note we are a big lover of big Italian wines, so maybe this is out of our wheel house.

Ditto most of the previous comments. This is a great value, and drinks better than a lot of wines twice the price. Rich, creamy, spicy. Mostly dark red to black fruit, so not bright. Supple; low acidity, but just enough to clear the palate for the next taste. On of my favorite OR pinots, and a compelling little sister to the exquisite Botanica.
Only note of difference with the comments below is that I wouldn't hang on to this too long. I'm planning to finish off the '09s before the end of the year. Great vintage for a bolder style, but they won't age well. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Pop and pour. Wanted to open this to remind myself why I buy this wine and to make my decision about the 2010 release. I love this producer. The 2009 Antica Terra displays a complex nose full of deep red fruits, minerals and the clasical tones of rainy autumn forest. There is an evident presence of greenish tones combined with rather expressive tannins. All components are in place but the wine needs to rest for a while before turing into a true beauty. Overall impression is very positive.

Opened and let her breathe for an hour. A crystal rim, ruby in colour, with a translucent garnet core. Passion fruit, red licorice, ripe raspberry, flint and sun-drenched woven mats. Compelling and floral on the soothingly long finish. Light tannins with an underlying acidity. Drink 2013 - 2018.

Beautiful! It was a bit tight when first opened. BUT lots of good things started happening the longer the wine sat in our glasses. Earthy, funky, spicy and bright fruit on the nose. Palate with light fruit and spices. Finish with vanilla and cherry. As time went on we noticed richer, darker fruits and sweet herbs coming out. I agree with Yeti that there was a minerality throughout it.

Pours plum in color with some light rim variation. You really need to let this open up. First off, right out of the bottle all I get on the nose is dried crushed herbs and graphite. After about 30mins it really starts to open up as aromas of rich plum and cherry push forward still showing some herb but it takes a back seat and adds to the complex nature of this bad boy. Additional aromatics include toasted oak, caramel, raw mint leaf and yes, I do believe a hint of blueberry. Medium body and well structured with incredible yet approachable acidity. Excellent aroma to palate follow through. Good graphite notes and minerality with layered richness. This beauty is sublime of robust nature. A beast in a smoking jacket if you will. A Yeti playing golf, and winning.

Hazy ruby red. Earthy aromas of spicy red raspberry, light cola, and tea. Full in the mouth with plenty of red fruit, turning slightly tart on the finish with round but certainly present tannins. Long and full of red friut. Good now, probably just going to get better.

Good nose and mouthfeel, though nothing to write home about. Everything was there (fruit and spice) but it was just muted or watered-down. I expected a lot more. I wonder hot the Botanica stacks up to this (same producer/location but their more "reserve" quality).

Big expressive nose with rose petals, black cherry, raspberry and damp moss—along with a sharp spicy heat that was unclear to me if it was from the alcohol or not. Ripe profile on the palate, with a round mouth feel but rather high toned with clean fruit. Finishes a little simple with a crisp stony quality. Good, though seemingly a step down from the ’08 from 2 weeks ago as this seemed a little awkward and disjointed. Will reassess when my bottles arrive as it may just need a little air or bottle time. Disappointing given the ’07 and ’08 and the price. 89-91

A solid pinot noir, with a palate of red berries, spices and earth tones. A really nice finish with hints of cinnamon.

Drinking beautifully this is a terroir forward pinot as Willamette should be. Age won't help for the wine. We drank the last two bottles at once.
