Stor doft av mörka bär och lite mint. Aningen för kokt frukt för att riktigt passa min smak men stort, fylligt och med sammetslena tanniner. Ett härligt vin.

Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium intensity, sour cherry, blackberry, marzipan, and rusty earth with hints of shoe polish. Palate: Full bodied, ripe dark red fruit and spice attack, great acidic balance yet, black pepper notes appear through the mid-palate with the big spicy fruit persisting all the way through the back-end. Finish: Lengthy, 45-60 seconds, dominated by slightly raisiny fruit, black pepper and spice.

Had with steak as Tania visited. This is drinking extremely well now. Not a style of wine we often look to anymore, but it is nice with a thick steak from the grill. What distinguishes this from a lot of other heavily-extracted wines is that it also has decent acidity, and that keeps it from being gloppy. I stopped buying Clio years ago as our tastes moved more toward Italian wines, but this had me thinking that I should occasionally buy a bit more Clio for such occasions. It is a crowd pleasing style of wine.
Excellent produit, balancé long et doux en bouche, soupçon d'acidité en palais, sec et légers tanins tout en rondeur. Très agréable avec viande rouge et pâtes relevées.

Smoky meats and black fruit on the nose, and then superdelicious flavors of blackberry with a tannic and tart cranberry edge giving it balance. Lingering fruit sweetness through the finish. Probably at peak, and probably will stay at this plateau for at least five and maybe ten years.

Dark purple color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 2.5 hours. The nose exudes deep dark fruits, black cherry and blackberries, dirt and earth, smoke, anise and savory note. The palate is forward, plush and layered with pretty black fruits; creme de cassis, blackberries, tart black cherry, blood meal, wood spice, smoke, and dark cocoa. The tannins give a silky fullness to the full bodied frame. This is really drinking well. Amazingly balanced at 15.5%, there's not a hint of alcohol showing. This is a bold wine that pulls it off well. Certainly no where near the end of the line either.

BBQ. This went quickly. It was dark fruited and rather extracted, but was drinking smoothly and had enough acidity to keep it from being gloppy. Was enjoyed and went pretty quickly. No huge rush to drink these, but should finish my other two bottles in the next couple of years.

Tried bottle at Bone's steakhouse in Atlanta, GA. No formal notes. This wine drank very well. I've never had a Clio with 10 years of age but this wine has aged well [not what I expected given my tasting note from 2012]. Black licorice, cherry, blackberry - still fruit primary - but some secondary earthy notes coming in. 92+

Saturated deep burgundy hue, an enticing nose of cherry, licorice, tobacco, and wood smoke. Nicely full-bodied, but not rounded. Solid depth of flavors, ripe black cherries, cloves, oak lurking in the background, and some herbal notes. A touch of acidity to string it all together. A wine that captures and peaks your attention. More of the same on a finish of decent length.

Inky purple/red color. PNP, drank 2+ glasses over 3 hours. Plenty of oak and dried herbs on the nose up front, gradually the dried earth notes become more prominent, lots of dark fruits that take on more depth as it opens, blackberry, creme de cassis and a more subtle hearbaceousness. The palate is full bodied, tart dark fruits, blackberry, black cherry, lots of wood notes, a touch of vanilla, black currant, with a greenish streak in the middle, dark chocolate, and dusty tannins. Lots of oak here that works pretty well given the age; No heat showing.

Big wine with lots of dark berries, luscious oak and spice. Seems to me this is a wine better drunk young (5 years) when the berries, oak and spice are lush rather than when it's a little older and the alcohol comes through more.

Blueberry compote, meaty bacon fat, dark dark color. Plum/fig. Can see the hand of Chris Ringland, Aussie Shiraz guru for sure. Tannins have subsided, but the fruit still packs a punch. 2018-2025

Wow, one of the biggest fruit bombs I've had in recent years (I suppose I try to avoid them). Super rich, almost port-like, maybe blueberry syrup-like. The sweetness drove me to distraction, although beneath it all, was quality juice if you like this style. But I suspect even those who like the style might consider this a bridge too far. Cassis, dark fruit, flambéed plums, fruitcake.

Excellent wine. Lots of dark fruit, a bit of spice, pepper and vanilla on the nose. Chocolate cherry and even a bit of tropical fruit on the palate. High acidity and very high alcohol.

You know how Clio is 50 pounds of saccharine sweetness and oak in a 20 pound sack when young? Same at 9 years. This is DECIDEDLY not my style, but many will LOVE! Rich and very full bodied, loads of oak. Still a very dark and unevolved color. Not going to rate. (Prolly deserves 92 on the Parker-style scale)

Pop and pour, consumed over 2 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, deep dark licorice, lavender, shoe leather, shoe polish, dark fruit - black berry and cassis, and hints of high toned red fruit - cherry - very captivating and dynamic. Body: Full bodied, sweet red and dark fruit attack, good balance, grippy tannins, spice driven mid-palate lift gives way to earth, tobacco, and leather in the back-end. Finish: Medium length showing tart red fruit and rusty earth with dark fruit undertones. This is an in your face wine that walked a fine line for my palate. It teetered on the edge of going over the top, but never really did - pure power and deliciousness.

Opened by my wife last Sunday (today is Saturday). Half bottle remained so I thought I would see how it held up and at the very least I could use in my sauce for cooking. Surprisingly at day 6 this is still going strong. Very resolved with little tannins but still somewhat smooth and still tasting great.

Improved from a few years ago (last note from 2014). Still very fruit forward and jammy, but with a little more depth than before. Certainly a case of waiting for it to allow that fruit bomb palette to scale back. And I suspect there is still some to go yet. If I was buying this again I would be doing so in the knowledge that one shouldn't consider touching it for at least 8-10 years of cellering, unless you just want a big old fruit bomb of course.

Alcohol, cedar, dark cherry and a hint of damp-basement funk on the nose. Palate isn't as complex - booze and dark cherry fruit is all I get. A big and bold wine that is made in a new world style but one that I tired of rather quickly. Spain meets Parkerization.

Drank over three days...yes you ask how can it last three days when you want to drink the whole bottle immediately. Anyway...Classic Clio perfume and structure withstood the test of time. Plenty more life in the bottles remaining.

Really good wine. Outperformed some much more expensive wines. It's probably past it's peak, though. It might develop more complexity with a lot of time, but the power is fading. Well balanced, though.

This is a great wine, year in, year out. Hard the beat for the price. The only comparable wine I know of in this price range is Alpha Omega II. Has any one tasted the sister wine, El Nido Elndo that sells for over $100? Is ti worth it? This wine is so good I would at least some day like to try it.

Beautiful wine. Dark crimson red with a purplish core. Layered nose with smoked wood, baking spices, vanilla, cinnamon, stewed and pureed berries. Bright acidity and great structure. Tons of dark fruits and plums in the attack with damp leaves and mushrooms. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Very well integrated and balanced. Delicious long and dry finish. Drink till 2019.

Glass-coating opaque purple color, full bodied with a full bouquet of black fruits - black berry, black currant and black cherry, a layer of smoke, anise and expresso accented by Blue fruits with a long lingering subtle oak moderate tannin finish. Give it time to open. It was more approachable ninety minutes later....
Drank last of 3 bottles- paired with grilled NY strips.
Didn't take formal notes so from memory. Black in the glass with no signs of age. Vanilla, fig, blackberry, toasted oak, black licorice on nose.
On palate, medium+ body, medium acidity (wine is not flabby) and incredibly smooth. Black licorice, blackberry, saline on palate with a very long finish. This has aged well and was at it's best with 30 minutes of air. Although the oak is very prominent, this is a darn tasty wine and paired great with the steaks.
Nothing left so can't see if it fell apart overnight. 93+/- Tannins completely integrated so I'd drink in next 1-3 years.

Decanted and consumed over 3+ hours. Rich, hedonistic, dense, modern all come to mind. Blackberry, vanilla, almost minty chocolate. Nice acids up front, lingering finish. Current temp is +1F and on a cold night, this warms the soul.

Black and purple berry fruits on the nose with some high toned undertones and tobacco. Good structure on the palate and finished with minerals and silty tannins. This could use additional time to help polish the slightly rough but interesting finish.

Mr Overhill's notes below are spot on, although I dont know if this can last another 10 years. This is ready to go after 10-15 min in glass. Rich and hedonistic, we loved it with our meal. I would drink within the next 2-3 years before it loses this rich and expressive fruit.

At almost six years old, this one has finally lost all traces of the remaining baby fat and is starting to really shine. Great fruit structure, really good balance and still wonderful blackberry/spice/sweet oak characteristics. I continue to be amazed how a wine of 15+% alcohol can keep it all in check and show that balance is possible even when pushing the fruit intensity envelope. If this one doesn't last another 10 years, I'll give up drinking all Ringland wines for good....

Big, jammy blackberry and dark cherry fruits and black licorice; oaky but it has enough floral and earth elements to make it interesting and distinguishable from a big Napa cab or cab blend. 15.5% abv. Made in is a very modern style. This is an interesting and appealing alternative to those who like California cabs and while not everyone's style, it is a balanced and well made wine. Drinking well now.

Splash decant ... Fruit bright, but not overpowering. Earth and spice coming to the forefront now. Firm, but sweet tannins. Really probably in its perfect drinking window, and at its prime currently. Big, but balanced. Well structured, but easy to drink. Always one of our very favorites.

Dark, dark ruby red. Decanted for an hour before first sip, then drank over next two hours. Nose: dark, brooding fruit compote of blackberries, cherries, plums and boysenberries. Strong amount of crushed stone and a touch of iodine. Big smoke and tar. Very aromatic wine. Palate: big mouthfeel. Very smooth and well integrated tannins. Medium plus acidity keeps the alcohol and fruit in check. Fruit is the same compote as on the nose but the earthy flavors of smoke, tar and stone are emphasized more strongly and joined by tobacco and ash. There's a brilliant Blood Orange note that comes in at the mid palate that really livens things up. I love that note. Also some cassis and cinnamon. Finish: the dark fruit fades quickly but the smoke, tar and tobacco persist much longer. The blood orange and cinnamon ride things out till the end. Overall this is a really nice wine. Somewhat singular but it nails its profile. Extremely well made for its case production. This is the kind of big wine I like to have a bottle or two around for the occasional urge for big juice. Sitting in a good place now, it's just hitting its early drinking window that will last another 2-4 years.

Did not decant and consumed with moderate spice laotian so perhaps not the fairest test. High intensity black fruits in both the bouquet and on the palate, including dark cherry and black plum. Some faint earth elements on the nose but in general I found this too lacking in secondary characteristics. A good wine but requires either more time in the bottle and/or a real decant. Silky mouthfeel and rounded tannins.

Dark, dark fruit, tobacco and earth and a hint of licorice. Better than past bottles of Clio which were too over the top for us. This was our second bottle of the night and it was perfect in that role. Not a food wine.

Splash decant ... This is our first '09 in a little over a year and I think it's in its sweet spot right now. Fresh, ripe blackberries to open, with hints of chocolate covered cherries topped with clotted cream on the mid, then a bright, fresh pop of acid and a very dry tannic backbone. A big wine that is very well balanced, and, year after year, always one of our favorites. Really straddles that big-balance line well and I think it's a huge step UP in complexity and interest, from so many well-known big boys (Caymus, et. al.) at a fraction of the price. We've bought a case a year of this since the '05 or '06 vintage and it never fails to impress. Love, love, LOVE Clio.

Notes made from final glass on night 2. Extra dark purple color, almost opaque with slow, heavily stained legs. Tiny bit of sediment. Massive aroma, filled with blue and black berry, tobacco, pencil, kefta spices, and flowers. The body of the wine is also large, weighing in with waves of fruit and ripe sweetness that is buttressed by some good and proper acidity. Tannins are nicely integrated and should only mellow more with time in the cellar. Drink below room temp and the alcohol is pretty well balanced.. warmer and it starts to interfere. This is a lovely and seductive wine with excellent value for the dollar. 5+13+16+9 = 93

I had a bottle of Alpha Omega II just before I picked this one out of the cellar for my guests. I was worried it may not stand up to the AO II, but I was wrong. This is a superb bottle of wine! I opened this at our 7/12/14 brisket dinner / Mourvedre tasting. It had rich, pungent, layered bouquet of smoke, blackberry, black cherry, mocha, cocoa, expresso, licorice and spice aromas. Still pretty much monolithic fruit bomb. Having said that we did just pop and pour. Maybe an hour and a half later the nose was starting to get a little bit more interesting - some mushroom and earth beginning to appear. So, next time I think I will open and let it sit for a good two hours and see what it's like. And perhaps it is still too early for this one in general.

We decanted the wine for 90 minutes before we poured the first glass. It was dark ruby in colour an offered an expressive nose of violet, ripe red fruit, cherry, blackberry, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and liquorice. On the palate the wine showed sweet ripe red fruit, ripe dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, liquorice and roasted notes, paired with medium to medium-minus acidity, ripe tannin and incredible length. A full-bodied, big, ripe, concentrated wine that needed two hours in the decanter to tame the alcohol (15.5 ABV), but then became round and balanced. Very nice!

Extracted for sure and maybe a bit too much oak for my current taste, but it blows off a bit and smooths out after 1hr+ decant. Some heat and alcohol on nose with a thick palate full of dark cherries and dusty tannins. Chewy. Not for the traditionally biased (and probably never will be from this producer). Can be enjoyed now with said decant but give it a few more years for a fully open window to jump into.

Followed this bottle for 2 days open. Structure was falling on day 2. Royal ruby color, 90% saturated with wide and slow legs. No sediment. Profound blackberry pie, vanilla, tar, licorice, and spice bouquet. Big-bodied palate with good grip and acidity, but high heat and alcohol. Long, sweet finish. A New World crowd pleaser, but if the etoh could integrate with more time it would be nice. 5+11+15+8 = 89

A good friend poured this at a dinner he hosted. Decanted for about an hour before tasting. An initial big whiff of vanilla oak showed when the wine was opened and decanted. Surprisingly, a lot of it had faded by the time we poured it. Once in the glass, it initially showed loads of plum and dark berries, some oak, hints of barnyard, along with noticeably high alcohol. The first sips were all but overpowering. The attack was plumily pleasant and the mid-palate showed good structure, but the back and finish featured an unabashed alcohol fest...a long hot burn.
Let it sit for a while hoping it would settle and improve with air...did it ever! About an hour after it was poured, the mid-palate structure had evolved into a prominent aspect of the wine and continued through a more subdued, nuanced finish. After another half hour, the bouquet featured smoked bacon, salami, and proscioutto...no kidding, all three tasters noticed it. It was akin to walking into an Italian smokehouse. Very nice tannic grip followed right behind the wave of fruit and charcuterie on the palate...and the finish had improved even more.
Overall, this wine evolved upon opening as much as any other wine I have ever sampled. The smokehouse nose and excellent grip were particular treats for what was at first an alcohol monster with a fruit bomb complex. To be sure, this is a fruit bomb, and the alcohol is high, but somehow the other awesome, ever-evolving elements made this a far more interesting drink than other Spanish, Australian, Californian fruit bomb - alcohol monsters in the price range.

Very deep ruby color. Silky mouth feel, and well rounded. Decent nose, but too monosyllabic for my taste. Cherry and plumb palette. Overall it was nice, but too modern in style for my liking. Certainly wouldn't rate it as highly as others have.

The wine was dark purple in colour and offered ripe fruit, blackberry, cherry, black currant, dark chocolate, cocoa, spices, vanilla and roasted notes on the nose. On the palate the wine was almost sweet, with ripe fruit, blackberry, liqueur, chocolate, cocoa, a boatload of coffee, spices, chilli, vanilla, some coconut and roasted notes, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-plus very ripe tannin, a good mouthfeel and very good length. The wine was driven by tons of heavily toasted new oak, but it was neither bitter nor unpleasant or inappropriate for the full-bodied, modern style wine that contained the high alcohol (15.5% ABV) very well. I think I could eat this as dessert. Not my preferred style of wine, but having popped my third bottle of this wine I have to admit that it is very well made and utterly delicious. Consumed over three days after an initial decant of 1 1/2 hours; I liked it best the second and the third evening.

Big, big wine, showing the influence of its Aussie winemaker. Carries its 15.5% booze vey nicely, with little evident heat and loads of ripe fruit, almost too ripe, with a slightly raisiny characteristic. But on the whole supple and enjoyable. Hedonistic.

Still drinking nicely. Did not take notes - enjoyed with ribs. Huge wine but there is some nice acidity to balance the fruit - will drink on the early side (by 2015) as I had a bad experience with my '06 Alto Mancayo (granted its grenache which doesn't have the natural acidity of Mourvedre). 92

very tasty, with lots of ripe black berries, dark-roast coffee, and blackberry jam, but it lacks the complexity of the 2008. this is very good, and if you've never had clio before, it's a good representation of what clio usually is. but for what clio can be, 2008 and 2010 are some really phenomenal examples. if scoring, 90-92.

If the people responsible for Super Bowl XLVII's power outage were drinking the '09 Clio, I can forgive them for their half-hour mistake. This wine brings more oomph to the table than any working professional would encounter and be able to focus properly on the job at hand. It is a wine that continues to pack a huge punch, of almost incendiary blackberry and sweet cassis fruit levels, which should overwhelm the palate (and do push the tannins into a forgotten, dark corner) and pummel one into submission with their attack. But somehow, whether it's due to the masterful use of the oak, the aid provided by the malo, or even the dominance of the monastrel, the wine keeps its exuberance in check. Yes, it should be the poster child for a Spanish fruit bomb of vintage 2009, but that doesn't mean that it's done anything wrong, does it?

As always a powerhouse of a wine. PnP to watch the Rangers opening night. Lush, black fruits with hints of vanilla on both the nose and palate. Nice, noble package; heavy bottle, high quality cork. We decanted the wine for one hour, consumed most of it over a period of another two, and saved one glass for later. It offered blackberry, black currant, vanilla, coffee and chocolate on the nose. On the ripe and sweet palate the wine showed blueberry, blackberry, black currant, vanilla, coffee, cocoa, caramel and a nice spiciness, paired with medium-level acidity, super-ripe tannins, a good and creamy mouthfeel and very good length. Despite its 15.5% ABV the dessert-like, modern style wine was very round. It drank very well over three days and although this is not my preferred style of wine I admit that this well-made wine was utterly delicious.

Decanted for 3 hours and enjoyed with dinner (grilled pork tenderloins). On PNP, tons of vanilla and that continued over the night on the nose. Sweet black cherry, blueberry, & herbal overtones (with lots of airtime). On palate, full body but not cloying, acids & sweet tannins keep it from being flabby. Fruit primary on palate, black cherry, sweet cherry, blueberry leading into a long finish. Very good with food. Very "big" wine but delicious and good with food. Would buy again but would not hold for more than 7 years from vintage date given the oak (vanilla) profile. 92+/-

Palate staining and glass staining Deep Purple: this is heavy metal wine. Intense chocolatey fruit, powerful and tannic. 15% alcohol, though it carries it well. It's a big, brash wine, but delivered with an exuberant panache. And if it's not a wine that this confirmed Burgundy drinker would buy, it has my respect.

A lovely although huge wine with a high QPR under $40. This needs a long decant (2+ hrs - and it was better on day 2). Clio is made in a very modern style and I wouldn't have guessed it was a Spanish blend. Powerful stuff here. Extremely smooth with an almost chewy mouthfeel. Many layers. Big fruit. Approachable now but it could easily use several years in the cellar.

Modern style blend of 70% old vine Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from 25 y-o vines. Aged in French and U.S. Oak. This is Spanish wine for fans of Napa Valley.

Dark garnet, reticent nose . Big, really forward with blackberry and cherry fruit dominating the cocoa notes. Long finish. 15.5% abv. Reminds me of a new world style CdP. I would like this better with at least a couple more years of bottle age, but worth seeking out.

Another fantastic showing by Clio, the 2009 had the typical voluptous body and big fruit on the front but transitioned well into the midpalate with layers of dark chocolate, smoke, tobacoo which led into a strong long lasting finish. This has several years to go but is very approachable now. I think it had a bit more balance than prior vintages and complexity which should carry it well for years to come. mid 90s. -S

Very solid. Dark fruit, plum...oak, vanilla, spice. Nice nose. Pretty complex blend. Smooth and easy to drink. I liked it. Better than the Caymus that cost a bunch more and the Leviathan at similar price.

Gave three hours in decanter based on other's reviews. Inky dark wine, heavily staining the glass. Kaleidoscopic nose that swirls oak, vanilla, cherry wood campfire smoke, spices, soft eucalyptus, and plump ripe black berries. Broad in the mouth giving way to cocoa tones and delicate tannin that provide exceptional balance. Chewy, luscious, and bold with such refined edges. Finish of ripe red and black fruit lingers with more licorice undertones.

Dark and dense, with some good muskiness coming from the mouvedre. The fruits are really solid right now, with a nicely developing midpalate. Better on day two than it was on day one. I like where this one is going, would try again in 2013.

decanted 1.5 hours, poured back into the bottle, and after tasting the first glass i poured it back into the decanter because it was still very tight.
i think this bottle was a little off, as it didn't show nearly as well as the last bottle i had late 2011. a little too candied, without the earthy complexity i'm used to with this wine. it was still very enjoyable, but not to the level it should have been. if scoring this bottle by itself, 86-88.

Drank at our local Italian restaurant last night. Really amazing bottle of wine. All the characterics describe by other members. This wine needs air time. Our waiter opened it and I should have had him decant it. Over the course of 90 minutes it got better by the minute. Amazing body structure and layer after layer of jammy blackberries cassin leather. Loved it. Cellar for another decade.

Poured through Vinturi and splash decant ... Didn't really mean to pop one of these yet, but when you tell hubby 'just pick anything,' and he does, he hates when I say, 'Well, not that one!' ... Anywho, this opened up as the night progressed, and was really starting to hit its stride right as we polished the bottle off at the three hour mark. ;)
Deep maroon, almost opaque in the glass. Classic rich and plush Clio profile. Smooth, with bright, up front fruit. Both red cherry and black berry overtones. Some spice notes and a little chocolate mixed with earth to finish.
Still one of the best bottles out there, not just for the money, but one of the best bottles, period. A year in and year out favorite. Love it and have a feeling this '09 will be even better in a year or two, based on how the '07 and '08s are maturing.
Always a stunner. Blackberry, iodine on nose with some black pepper and coconut. Structured and sweet on the palate. Wow. 40-50 second finish. Big, Over the top as usual.

I have Clio going back to the beginning '('02) and this is probably the best version since '04. Ready to drink now which has not been the case for the past few vintages. Not sure how long it will age, but it is fantastic from the start.

Purple ink and glass coating. Stewed raspberry compote, charred plum, cedar, leather, Jolly Rancher, spice and sweet chewing tobacco on the nose. Secondary smoke. Full body with oak, blackberry, cherry pie, spice and game on the palate. Secondary sweet tobacco. Superb texture with velvety tannin. Med-long finish.

One of my favorites from a QPR standpoint. Dark, inky, viscous. The wine held onto the side of the glass as I drank it. Smoke, black berry, blueberry and sweet oak. Massive wine that was better on day 2. Long, long lingering finish.

This was delicious, to say the least. It was big, big, big, however the nose is very elegant, with spiced blue and black fruit layered in cream. The alcohol is 15.5 so open this baby a couple hours early. On the front end the velvety richness of the moderate to heavy tannins are carried by layers and layers of, again, blue and black fruit. It is a teeth coater so heads up, fyi. On the back end it finishes very long and complex, I wouldn't say smooth. I'm not a huge fan of smooth though. Delicious overall, and at @45, it's damn good if you like the big enamel coating style wines. Enjoy!

The 2009 Clio is made in a very modern style. The color on this is deep purple almost black, it is packed tightly with blackberry jam, blueberry, sweet currant, spice, citrus peel, toasty oak, espresso and crushed floral. This is deeply layered, dense and racy with polished tannins that explode on your palate. This finish doses out more black fruit and chocolaty espresso notes that linger. This is delicious and hard to resist, so give this a few hours of air time if drinking now. (Drink 2012-2020) - JD92+

Hedonistic.

On the ripe and sweet palate the wine showed blueberry, blackberry, black currant, vanilla, coffee, cocoa, caramel and a nice spiciness, paired with medium-level acidity, super-ripe tannins, a good and creamy mouthfeel and very good length. 92+/-

Dark fruits, cherry, smoke, and oak. Well balanced, lovely mouthfeel, and long finish. Simply wonderful wine. Unfortunately I only purchased one bottle, but I will be looking to purchase more... many more.

Drank with Taylor and his father after Caroline's birthday party. Big and juicy. A little hot by very rewarding. Nice balance between the Cabernet and Monastrell.
