This far exceeded my expectations for a ten year old lower end Riesling. Flint, lime, lemon, plastic, honeysuckle on the nose. The palate is super bright. There’s still a ton of acidity. It works well with the residual sugar, which seems to be around Feinherb level.
I would never guess this is Columbia Valley fruit. There’s none of the yellow peach and apple notes that I get on every other WA Riesling. Dr. Loosen & Chateau Ste Michelle deserve a lot of credit for this.

Improved from a year ago. Pale yellow in the glass. Nose of grapefruit, petrol and green apple. Mid weight but silky on the palate with the grapefruit dominating. Finished with hints of petrol, grapefruit and fresh cut grass. Very enjoyable.

Very pale yellow, almost clear in the glass. Nose is petrol dominated with wisps of citrus if you really look for it. Palate shows petrol, tart apple and citrus notes with a slightly sweet and tangy finish. Enjoyable on its own but also went well with bites of brie and TJ latkes.

$15 at Total Wine, which in my book, makes for a quite bottle at this price point. Sean S's note is pretty much spot on, Kabinett level sweetness, but certainly more heavy on the palate than its counterpart in the Mosel would be. Not overly sweet, and good tension to tie everything together.

Ripe fruit featuring peach, pear and sour apples. A dust and spice quality on the palate. Short finish. Good but still prefer a good Kabinett/ Spatlese from the Mosel for the same price points.

Straw in color, this wine showed bright aromas of pear, nectarine, green apple, ginger and honeysuckle on the nose. The mouth feel brought a moderate amount of Spatlese level sweetness, held in check by the bright acidity. It also brought lime and other citrus notes plus minerality of slate and stones. The finish was moderate with the acidity, minerality, sweetness and fruit marrying well.
Purchased for $19US, this is a well made, enjoyable bottle of wine that is an excellent match for Asian food. I like the fact that its only 11.0% abv. I'd purchase a lot more of this if it was priced at $12US or less.

Slight sweetness, balanced nicely by its acidity. Fairly rich, but missing the "petrol" notes that I might have expected. A hint of minerality, but not all that complex. Good value and a terrific match with New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp.

A better than average German-style Riesling, rather like a Spätlese. Lacks the depth and complexity of some of its German peers, but manages to deliver a well-crafted sweetness that does not cloy. Worth trying again. This was my third bottle (different vintages) in five years, all of which were worth drinking.

Cheese & Wine Tasting - Westchester Wine School (Auray Cheese Shop, Larchmont, NY): Drank at Ned tasting. I don't get it, but many enjoyed this wine. I found it to be flaccid, lacking in any sort of complexity or interest, with insufficient levels of acidity or minerality to offset its sweetness. I love riesling, but this was a lousy one.

Light straw color in glass. Modest nose, with pear and lime on palate with slight mineral. The sweetness is a bit strong for the limited acidity, and the lack of balance reduces the interest.

Green apple, lime on the palate. Just a touch too much sweetness for the acidity, but it has a good amount of acidity that comes through nicely when this wine is cold. Fun, enjoyable and easy drinking. A Riesling that would please in most mid-week wine sessions.

Similar view to the other comments out here; good but not great, it lacks complexity and I expected more at the price I paid ($17). But a perfect match to a creamy Thai curry. Another reviewer mentioned they'd found it for close to $10, which seems about the right price point.

Paired this up with some tangerine beef, and that worked out surprisingly well. The acidity in this wine cut right through the sweetness of the beef and brought out new flavors I can't even begin to describe. Still a bit young to be drinking this, but it's not bad at this stage.

Light golden straw. Slaty aromas of stonefruit, pears, green apples, honeysuckle, and lime blossom. Possesses a clean, almost effervescent mouthfeel, zingy acidity, touches of honey and brine, and a natural tension that showcases sweet and savory elements equally. The stony, slaty, moderate finish adds another layer of complexity. This is elegant, polished, and balanced, with the potential to age gracefully. 89++

The color of this wine is pale yellow. Honeysuckle, clover, and honeydew melon on the nose with green apple, peach and lime notes on the palate. Good start, with a nose of Jonathan apples and a whiff of diesel. Palate shows tart apples that give way to a faint briny note mid-palate, finishing a touch off-dry. Decent acidity. This is a solid everyday riesling.

Metallic gold but with a hint of rose coloration. Lemon zest nose. Somewhat soft on the front end, citrus followed by crisp, green apple with a medium long finish. Very pleasant. Not quite up there with the Chehelam dry reisling but a very good value under $15.

i wasn't thrilled with this. it might benefit from some more time. minerals blast your taste buds on first taste - too much so. the first glass almost had a salty finish. the second glass opened up a bit and there a much nicer fruity finish. and it wasn't too sweet...which was nice.

Good straight forward Riesling. The acidity and sweetness are well balanced against squince and yellow citric fruit. Light to medium bodied, the wine is a crowd pleaser for the novice and makes a good 4th or 5th wine for a wine pro who's palate is exhausted.

It's nice, clean wine but overall, fairly straight-forward and simple. Bright aromas of cantaloupe and stone fruit on the nose. The palate is more apple-driven, with light tropical and stone fruit flavors. The acidity is on the lower side for Riesling but overall fairly balanced. The finish is short but clean. It's tasty wine, very good overall, clean and simple.

Pale lemon in color. The nose is medium in intensity, with just a hint of petrol and peach. The palate is just off-dry and quite expressive, with a burst of pear, fuji apple and lemon lime. The flavor intensity is medium plus to pronounced. The acidity is medium plus, the alcohol is medium, the body is medium and the finish is medium. Very lively and fresh now, but likely to improve with more bottle age. This is a lot of bang for the buck and quite versatile. WS 89.

Way too young to drink. The nose is all over the place, but the palate is crisp and lively. Good acidity, but some of that is due to the carbon dioxide in this wine, which as I understand from talking to the winemakers, is a stylistic choice to make it "fresher". Great wine overall, but I think it needs a good five years to work out the loose ends. These wines are made for aging...

Nope. Sorry, but they're pricing this on par with some of the single vineyard/single cask kabinetts from the Theise portfolio, and the quality just isn't there. It's half-empty in the middle palate, and it gets beaten in intensity by Dr. Frank rieslings from the Finger Lakes. I like it, I just think it's getting ahead of itself.

Honeycrisp apple nose. Bright burst of acid initially followed by tropical fruit flavors (pineapple, melon, etc). Long finish with some pleasant acidic notes.
Very food friendly. Surprisingly good compliment to herb and citrus marinated chicken, bar-be-qued veggies, and mashed potatoes.

The color of this wine is pale yellow. Honeysuckle, clover, and honeydew melon on the nose with green apple, peach and lime notes on the palate. Crisp minerality and acidity balances this wine however it could use a few years in the cellar. Medium length finish. Overall a drinkable wine with lots of potential!

Two thumbs up from the spouse. It's crisp and light with just enough residual sugar to balance the acidity. Great on a warm summer evening.

Fresh, crisp, not dry, pleasant sweetness, but not too much. Always a party favorite.

i wasn't thrilled with this. it might benefit from some more time. minerals blast your taste buds on first taste - too much so. the first glass almost had a salty finish. the second glass opened up a bit and there a much nicer fruity finish. and it wasn't too sweet...which was nice.

Good straight forward Riesling. The acidity and sweetness are well balanced against squince and yellow citric fruit. Light to medium bodied, the wine is a crowd pleaser for the novice and makes a good 4th or 5th wine for a wine pro who's palate is exhausted.

Not a bad riesling-- certainly characteristic of a sweeter riesling, nicely balanced, peachy, crisp, light on the tongue, no real long finish. Enjoyable.

WS 89.

Slaty minerality. Notes of apple and pear bright acidity with a cittress quality. Pairs beautifully with farmers market cheese and pears.
