  • Opened an hour before drinking. Solid brunello - nothing jumped off the page but nicely balanced and easy drinking

  • Prior bottle was 13 months ago and this wine continues to both improve and impress. Really pretty black cherry on the nose, along with plum and balanced spices. Between medium and full bodied with black cherry upfront, again showing that very nice mix of rounded, expressive blackfruit contrasted brighter, higher toned qualities. Mid-body adds darker black cherry, additional depth, plum and some brighter blackberry. Mid-body has opened up a bit from my prior bottle, such that it shows excellent balance overall and true elegance through the middle. Tannins , acidity and tart blackfruit notes are very much in keeping with the fruit and support, rather than distract. Finishes with spices and lengthy mineral notes. Overall, the story remains the mid-body, with it combination of black cherry and plum. It now is more expressive while remaining in balance with the structural qualities. This should be able to maintain this level over the next several years and could even improve a bit more over the short term.

  • I found this a little tired. Had some interest on nose the nose. Dark stuff- meat, thyme, black fruit. Did not have great energy or interest in the mouth. Was having to force myself to take another sip. I likelly would have felt differently if I was drinking it with Osso-Bucco.

Huge caveat- I have very little experience with brunello. I have had the occasional aged brunello from good houses that made me realize how good the stuff can be. I bought a bunch of 2010s from various houses that were well reviewed but none of them have made me restock the cellar with more. I opened this one for visiting family and we did not have it with food. Drank over two days. Got more tired on the second day.

  • * Wine 2 out of 6, YOLO wine club - 2010 Brunello tasting. Decanted for 3-hours.

Color - garnet with a ruby rim, suggesting of age, but still very lively.

On the nose - WOW. Wild, seductive and extremely expressive, with initial notes of strawberry, mocha, hay, black pepper, thyme, and smoked meat, gradually developing into more floral and herbaceous cents, from sage to elderflower. Absolutely gorgeous, and could easily be mistaken for a top Gevrey Chambertin, a-la Bernard Dugat-Py or Domaine Trapet.

The mouth however was a bit of a letdown in comparison to the stunning nose, with a slightly thin and short presence that didn't back the initial promise. Despite lacking in structure and balance, the wine still delivered tasty layers of red fruit and good complexity and was further elevated by the Osso-Bucco that was served alongside it.

91 points on the night. If the mouth had matched the nose this would be in 93-94 points territory, but alas.

Drink now, I see no upside in waiting.

  • Still young but in it's early drinking phase. Worth opening. Decant for at least 2 hours and drink it slowly. Unbelievable texture! Well balanced with a delicious finish.

  • Brunello di Montalcino tasting (at my home): below expectations

  • Slow oxed for 10 hours then into a decanter for another 2. The wine is black as night. Not even the least bit of bricking out at the edge. Nose is still restrained but some cloves and cinnamon are peeking through. Some fruit is lurking but it seems a bit closed. I’m attacked by a wall of tannins that seem to hide everything but a bitter fruit. This needs many more hour in my glass. OK. Two hours on and the wine has tamed down. The nose has opened up to reveal beautiful notes of sweet cloves, cinnamon toast & plumb jam. The tannins have totally receded and leave a mouth full of luscious bitter red and black fruits, some tar and bitter orange rind. Still very primary. IMHO this wine needs 5-7 more years as it’s still a baby, but a beautiful baby.

Day two - I had a large glass left over and was anxious to see what it would taste like today. The color is still impenetrable and the nose still shy. It’s on the pallet that the wine has really fleshed out. Still very lively but the fruit is emerging. Nice deep red fruits with cinnamon overtones, charcoal notes combined with some bitter orange rind. IMHO this wine is the one 2010 that seems it’s not ready at all and one tried 7-10 of my stash over the last couple of months. I think this wine has a lot of room to improve and integrate.

  • 94… at least. Silky and complex. At the top of its game, with all tannin and hardness resolved I’d drink it now or over the next year or two.

  • Opened as we explore in anticipation of our summer trip to Tuscany. This was licorice and plummy fruit on the nose, sweeter than expected cherry fruit on the palate, but still seemed not entirely open, even after a 3 hour decant. Put away 8oz to try again tonight.
Nice on day 2 but still seems like it would be better in a few years

  • When my sister and husband were visiting he wanted to learn about BdM. We drank a 2017 Podere le Ripi I posted yesterday and this 2010 Mastrojanni side by side in Montalcino. Coincidentally the 2 wineries are next to each other in Montalcino. A beautiful wine and drinking wonderfully. Dusty red cherry, leather, tobacco, earthy. 2 wineries I want to visit.

  • Really in a beautiful spot. The 2010 vintage was superb and this wine
is a beautiful example. Unfortunately only 1 bottle left .I originally bought a case at release and it's been fun tasting the wine evolution.
    Wish i had bought more

  • A: medium garnet with bricking
N: pronounced intensity, red cranberry, red cherry, dried cranberry, sweet tabak, earth, dried herbs, rhubarb, dried red fruit, gentle baking spice
P: dry, high acidity, high fine grain tannins, high ABV, full body, medium (+) intensity flavors, medium (+) finish.
C: very good, balanced fruit/tertiary with acidity/fine tannins, intense and complex, but somewhat lean on the finish with more heat and acidity than fruit. Drink now but will hold for another 5 plus years.

  • Dark, plush black cherry as well as plum and spice notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (14.5% ABV) with very pretty, rounded and expressive black cherry upfront. Adds darker black cherry as well as plum through the mid-body. There's a lot of depth here that even after three hours open was only starting to reveal itself. By six hours, the wine had fully come together and shows good balance through the middle. Tannins, minerals and spice notes on the backside and through the finish. But the story here is the mid-body; with enough time it has a well supported, black cherry-plum combination that has some real elegance to it. If opening now, give it at least 2+ hours open ahead. This wine should improve with more time and I'll plan to open my next bottle in Fall 2023.

  • My first Mastrojanni This 2010 is in a great place. Smooth with relaxed tannins. Bright, fresh red and dark fruits, smoke, soft oak, leather, balsamic, black olives, Montalcino dust.

  • This is a terrific wine that we brought to a high school class reunion and shared. It disappeared before I got much of a taste. The fruit was rich and plentiful. The nose was sweet and fragrant while the aftertaste was lingering and delicious. I'd say it's drinking very well right now.

  • My first bottle and first time with this producer. Cork built great, no infiltration, and actually seemed to expand a bit upon removal, much like a champagne cork. Slight bouquet but present. First sip showed fruit in good form and not faded, but the real star was the freshness and life of this wine. I suppose this is due to the acid, which is really nice here. There is a herbal flavor here that I haven't identified but its just below the surface. This wine may have a long life ahead. In fact I feel I may have opened this at the beginning of its drinking window, and it may be within 5 years of prime. Had this over 3 days and it held up and came together, the acid stepping back and allowing the fruit to stand forward, a nice integration. Recommended.

  • Cherries, strawberries roses, dried herbs, smoke. Medium+ tannins and medium+ to high acidity. A very polished wine in a very positive sense. In a good spot right know with many years left. With the bright acidity it goes reallly well with food.

  • No decant, red and hints of brown fruits, red cherry, hints of cranberry, some briny notes. More traditional, restrained style. Best glass was last.

  • Brunello 2010 horizontal (Singapore): Stricter and more rigid than the wine preceding it (2010 Fanti Riserva). Higher acidity / freshness. Not the most expressive or aromatic Brunello. Good length. Nice.

  • After a few years in my cellar, I taste this 2010 vintage. An exceptional wine, tertiary aromas, like leather and smoke. Long and persistent finish.

  • Held a Brunello di Montalcino 2010 blind wine tasting on February 26. Dark brown somewhat transparent hue, soft aroma. Soft Brunello burst - but hints of dark cherries, currants, herbs. Long earth finish and long linger. Wonderful wine for a more subtle balance of fruits and dry finish. Came in 2nd place in our 2010 Brunello blind tasting.

  • During a Brunello 2010/12 dinner, tasted blind. Another strong wine here. Similar to the Fuligni, this Brunello convinced with its structural symmetry and aromatic depth. Beautiful nose of dark fruit, earthy, with mint elements, rose and tar. Racy acidity and structure but all in balance. Very good showing.

  • My last of these. Attractive, briary red fruit, could benefit from more time but still showing well enough. Vibrant acidity on account of the vintage.

  • Good but not great. OK nose to start and a little tight. Opened up as the night went on. Not sure if it needs more time or I've waited too long

  • Most all my BdM are younger so was a treat to enjoy a more integrated and mature expression of my favorite varietal. Needed the 2 hour decant and continued to evolve over next 2-3 hours. Quite sure this will continue to improve over many years but drinking so well now. We noted the cork was remarkably soft and supple, but no seepage or streaking stain at all. Some sediment. Pretty sure those with lesser ratings had the wrong food pairing - that's the only possible explanation! 95

  • Enjoyed this but just have never been able to really understand the 2010 vintage. I am a neophyte Brunello drinker but not in terms of Sangiovese. I think too often the extended oak treatment masks some of the beauty of the variety. This was among the better of my brunello from 2010 which included Argiano, Ciacci Piccolomini, Salicutti, Conti Costanti, il Marroneto among others.

  • Didn’t love it. Maybe to early, but just an acid bomb, which overwhelmed everything. I will let it sit for another decade and see.

  • Luis Italian Wine Tasting at Broder's: Decanted for 2 hours then put back in bottle and slow O'd for another 2 hours at the restaurant - This wine was singing for me. Obviously has years left in it, and should further improve with more cellar age, IMO. Nose was sweet cherry, some new leather and sweet tobacco, with hints of various spices. Palate showed plenty of red fruit, including tart cherries and strawberry, coupled with some anise, earthiness and sage notes. I really enjoyed this, and, although still very young, was my WOTN. 94+ points and will likely significantly improve!

  • Italian wines on Broders patio (Broders Patio): This wine is drinking fairly young. I suspect it needs a little time yet to suck up the oak and gain complexity. It was still no slouch tonight, red bright fruit, spice, red flowers and underbrush.

  • Italians at Broder's (Broder's Pasta Bar, Minneapolis): Very dark red plus color, fully saturated. Splash double decanted and then slow-O for 4+ hours. Drank a glass over an hour. Concentrated and powerful, the fruit and texture stands out here. This came at the end of the night and probably suffered as a result. I enjoyed this, but remember thinking it just needs some more time. Score reserved.

  • One of the best consistently great 2010 Brunellos. Also a nice bargain for the price when compared against other great Brunello houses or the market in general. Lovely and consistent with my previous notes. Drinking beautifully.

  • First of my case. I’ve been waiting for it. Slow oxed for 8-9 hours then into a decanter. Small pour. The nose attacked you with cloves, cinnamon, red fruit, underbrush and barnyard funk. Really beautiful. Translucency crimson which I know will firm up in the decanter. The mouth is screaming strawberries fruit compote bing cherries and a huge dose of tannins. This will calm down as it opens up further. What elegant power. Complete balance. Still a baby. This has developed beautiful. Nice dark color and mature notes of fruit compote, brown sugar baking spices and strawberry jam. Need a few more years to develop but progressing beautifully.

  • Held in my cellar since release. Man, I should have bought a case or 3...

In a medium appearance, this has an elegant, polished appearance and the power of a monster wine. The palate is explosive! Its beaming with so much acidity and intensity that it brings head bending lift and vibrance to the soil tinged old world musty wine swimming below. It was followed by an explosive, relentless, mouth bruising finish. Wow! Had 2 bottles of Krug before this, and it was unanimous that this was the wine of the nigh and one of the best wines of the year! Drink or Hold...Lots of time and life left.

  • 4-1/2 yrs since first btl and this hasn't moved much. Still at the front end of its prime drinking. PnP and slow-oxed in Reidel Burg glasses & btl for 2 hours prior to dinner. Med dark garnet red color. Roses, berries and underbrush on the nose. Neither heavy nor a feather weight. Acidity keeps this fresh. 14.5% alc does weigh in a bit and, if served too warm, will be noticed. I aim to drink all reds between 58 - 62. Packed with suave; cherry, raspberry, licorice, mineral, faint herbs and light underbrush. This is pleasing now but, should really shine at age 15+. Note to self - don't drink my last btl before 2025. 93+

  • Wow - this was great. Starts with the alluring brown/red color translucent against the glass and modest aroma that hints at the spicy red fruits. First Brunello taste is classic but very smooth - dark cherries, peppers, hint of raspberries into spicy but still smooth finish. Less earthy at end, more spice with medium length linger. Love it and glad I waited for year 10

  • One hour decant. This was delicious. Rich, full bodied, mostly red fruit, dried red fruit, earth, leather, rose petal, tobacco leaf, well integrated tannins. Layers of secondary flavors. Big (14.5%) but not hot; still energetic with a powerful elegance. Great now but it should only improve with age.

  • This was really closed on the first day... second day it started to open up. Needs decanting or more time in the cellar.

Very pretty and polished, with no rough edges. Quite modern in style.

  • Dark ruby in color with really slow legs. On the nose lots of earth, tobacco leaf, some truffle, orange peel, nose is very faint. The palate has complex bing cherries with truffles, green spices tobacco and coffee notes. The finish hams dark earth, leather, tobacco leaf, orange rind classsic Brunello-rofile finish all most textbook. Really wonderful after 3 hour decant. Drink now through 2026.

  • Opened and drank three hours later. Medium body, brownish-red color of a maturing Brunello. Wonderfully delicious, mild tannins, quite acidic, restrained in interesting ways. Spices, figs, pepper, earthiness, lingering and delicious aftertaste. Drinking it sip-by-sip. Perfect to drink now, though they say that additional aging will make Brunellos even better. Perhaps! Let’s see whether I can pace myself with the remaining four bottles. 93 or 94? I settled on 94, in the end.

  • Medium bodied, dry, lean, spicy, elegant. Plenty left in the gas tank for aging and it should get better but easy to drink now. Soil, astringent, menthol, spice flavors. Wine still feels tight structured and young. Lovely Brunello and particularly if you prefer the dry aspects of Sangiovese to more fruit forward extracted versions.

  • Perhaps a bit too early, this is a lovely elegant wine still evolving - loads of dust, graphite, ripe red cherry, raspberry (?), med + body, med + acidity, fine med + tannins. Some air really helps it open, but believe it has some years to go still. 91 now with ++ to go with some age.

  • Another excellent bottle of this great Brunello. Takes a moment to open up, but then explodes with notes of tobacco leaf, plum, red cherries, graphite, smoke, cedar wood, also some savory herbs, all in a cool and understated fashion. I‘t s medium-full bodied, with medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin that is supremely silky. Excellent length. A superb Brunello and I am probably drinking my bottles way too early, but this is so good. It will also be able to age for many years.

  • Decanted for 4 hours. Great juice and a very promising vintage. The future looks bright. Probably 95 in 3-4 yrs. Still young and vibrant. The acidity was there in great balance with the fruit. The primary red berries are in transformation - the black berries and the dark chocolate are lurking behind the bush. Earth, blood and a hint of mushroom. Nose was a bit closed due to the wine is still waking up. Next bottle in 2-3 yrs and the the rest over 10 yrs. Was a bit unsure if brunello 2010 in generel would end up a bit too ripe in the expression. Have been drinking 4 different 2010´s in the past month. No worries - no sign of nothing but balanced fruit with a long life ahead of it.

  • Wow...drank over 3 nights (coravin) and it was just fantastic from beginning to end. The wine is ready to drink but undoubtedly has all the pieces needed for the long haul. Absolutely gorgeous bottle and the price of $65 I bought it for with shipping and tax was even better.

  • expressive perfume of flowers, sandalwood and crushed red berries, dense with a tight core, juicy plums, cherry, wood chips and mineral hints on the tongue, a tough of heat on the finish, smooth mouthfeel, does well with food, still very youthful, high potential to be something very special with time, this is still coming together

  • Poured out of a Coravin. Decanted to equivalent of 3 hours using Wine Enthusiasts IFavine machine also know as smart Isommelier smart decanter. Nose of sour cherries and wet stones. Strong tannins which tells me it's still young. Good finish that lingers on for 30 seconds. Ruby red color, light texture with slow legs in the glass. I bet once this MastroJanni had more time to work out some heat and strong tannins it's going to be singing. I can see 94+ in 2020.

  • Beautiful notes of graphite, tobacco, cedar wood, dried fruits, some plum and red berries too, notes of flowers, cigar box. It's medium-full bodied but almost weightless at the same time due to the beautifully high but super silky tannin, medium-high acidity and beautiful texture. Very long finish. A superb Brunello that has closed down a little bit.

  • Very serious, tightly-knit Brunello. This is one that's not nearly ready to drink and should be left for at least another five years. Significant mint taste profile, high acidity that brings some austerity. The quality is clear but everything is so cloaked and brooding. There is a kind of creamy spice on the finish which is unusual. Almost hard to comment on now as it's so not ready but the potential is very clear. 94+pts.

  • Given a few hours of air out of a half bottle. Looks like Pinot Noir in the glass or Nebbiolo but no bricking around the edges. Medium bodied for a Brunello which I like and good red fruit structure. Very nice drop although not as nice as the 2011 I had the other day.

  • 2010 Brunello Tasting – 12.2016

Very limited notes (apologies) – all wines were good, one corked Tenuta Nuova, Giodo and Nuova were group fav’s, Gaja’s were darker/bigger in style, Renieri and Siro Pacente least favorite of group.

Mastrojanni – lighter fruit profile, good acid, less tannin, brighter style
Giodo – wow, really good, right up there w/ the Tenuta Nuova
Casanovi Tenuta Nuova - group’s favorite. Rich, tannic at first but then opened up.
Siro Pacente Vecchie Vigne – tannic, early, unimpressive compared to others.

Also tasted: Gaja Sugarille – tannic, short finish; Gaja Rennina bigger wine opened up later; Casanova Neri Cerratalto ripe and rich, Renieri softer, rounder in style

  • Very good young Brunello. Lighter touch, red fruit and spice. Cherry and pomegranate, hints off baking spice and citrus peel. Cocoa coming in on the finish. With air or time in bottle the mid-palate and finish will improve. Already accessible though This can be enjoyed while waiting for the more tannic 2010's to age. Finish is just a little bitter, needs a little time to open up. 1year, then can begin drinking.

  • Overall:
Really, really good brunello. Will be purchasing more. Highly recommended. Still quite young, but nonetheless very good. Looking forward to aging my additional bottles and seeing what they turn into.

    Timeline:
    14:56 (Bottle open and decanted):
Whiffs of this amazing red fruit. Not quite sure what it is. Wow.
Like plush Strawberry+ a hint of red licorice, and bright red cherries.
Beneath the fruit, I get the smell of a blackened steak.
Just got a whiff of some eucalyptus
    Getting some strong floral notes
    Menthol

    17:22
    A slight tinge of alcohol
Cedar Wood (fresh sawdust) — herbs?

    17:42
Rice cracker? Chocolate? Some unusual flavors coming through, all very good.

    18:00
A sweetness comes through. Dried mango/papaya/?
    Orange

    19:00...
Continued with the beautiful red fruit + sweetness + slight notes of blackened steak + cedar + tinge of menthol. Red fruit downplayed at this point. Nicely integrated tannins, especially considering how young the wine is.

The score may go up, but for now...

    The Verdict: 🍷,🍷,🍷,🍷 (4/5 | 94pts)

  • I suspect this to have been an "off" bottle. The nose never improved though it was decanted for 5 hours. On the palate it had the characteristics of BdM, but not as open and compelling as other 2010s I've tried. The structure was definitely present, but I have higher hopes for another bottle in 3-6 years.

  • Decanted 7 hours. Orange peel, earth, bright fruit and subtle spice. Very well balanced with what seemed like emerging complexity. It is definitely a well-finessed wine. I was not overwhelmed by it but it will drink well for some time and will improve. I may have actually decanted it too long.

  • Very similar note to my last one. This has already developped even a little more complexity. Beautiful Brunello!

  • Rose petals upon opening. Continued to evolve after 3 hours of decanting. Restrained, with fleeting tertiary notes. Highly likely to be much more joy after 2018.

  • Decanted and drank over three hours. Unusual nose--smoke, barnyard. Well structured palate--great acidity--not a fruit bomb, but already complex. Grilled meat, herbs, Sauerkraut? Loong.
    This will age easy

  • Very clean and pure. Decanted and found no sediment or solids. Tastes very rich with red and black fruit flavors. Nice lingering after taste with spicy notes. This is drinking nicely now and will get better.

  • Wow. What a wine. On the young side but gave it 7 hours decant. So many layers of dark expressive fruit and a long aftertaste. Kept evolving in the glass. Stunning stuff for an entry level BdM. Will likely get even better with further bottle age.

  • Young but impressive and very enjoyable at the moment. I tried PnP and the nose was perfuse and the palate Burgundian supple, elegant and pretty open. Then, after 30 minutes, I decided not to trust that and in pursuit of even better results I did a quick double decant. Not sure that mattered as the wine didn't move a lot and, if anything, started to close a bit a couple hours later. That said, this was glorious tonight and classic Brunello. Plenty of power and energy but delivered on silky fresh mid weight frame. Red fruit spectrum, licorice, hint of tobacco, and minerally. A beautiful wine. If you have enough btls, worth opening. I have 2 more which I won't touch again till 2020+ Alc 14.5% Best served at 55-60 degrees for my palate. If this were Burgundy I'd call it upper level 1er Cru quality. Paid $60 and worth that plus for sure. Don't know if this is but, what I'd expect biodynamic to taste like. Vineyard Fresh!

  • I decanted the MatroJanni for about one hour and poured me a glass which I visited every 20 minutes. Great nose of flavors. However I could feel a bit of too much heat on the palate. After about 3 hours my second glass was more flavors on the palate and less heat. However, the next day a friend came over and I poured us each a glass that was left over from night before!! OMG!! I could not believe it!! The texture, the finish, the flavors and the balance. The heat disappeared!! So obviously this bottle still needs a couple of years but more would serve it better or a very long decant!! Great Brunello and exceptional PQR!!

  • Great bottle of Brunello but needed at least 20-30 min in the glass to blossom. Definitely drinkable now, but should improve with a few years in the cellar.

  • Medium dark red; nice fruit, strawberry, some licorice, slightly restrained; peppery tight attack, little tannins (not much), soft middle, a bit mouth plucking in the finish; currently needs lots of air, but probably best suited to cellar for a few more years with a promising future

  • Very closed decanting 3 hours didn't help much, don't drink this yet not really enjoyable at this point.

  • Brunello di Montalcino 2010 - 30 top names of the vintage (Singapore): During a guided blind tasting of 16 Brunello 2010. Brick, distinctively light in color. Expressive nose of autumn leaves, tobacco, flowers, strawberry, roses, wow, this is nice and has great typicity. Enters the palate light and elegant, almost Burgundian. Elegant and aromatic finish. One of my favorites of the evening. 96 Pts., excellent QPR. Rank 5/16 by the group.

  • The nose showed depths of tart cherry and raspberry fruit, along with a twist of spiced orange, savory herbs, and floral undergrowth. On the palate it was dark and inward with almost savory red fruits giving way to mountain herbs, smoke and minerals, as fine tannin saturated the senses more and more with each sip. It finished stern with sappy red berry, espresso bean, olive and herbal tones lasting long. Only time will tell, but with how intense and deep this wine is today, it may one day warrant a much higher score.

  • First pretty muted, but opening up after about 2 hours of decanting. Shiny medium ruby color. Beautiful nose of sweet red cherries, strawberries, graphite, some flowers, tobacco. On the palate there are pretty notes of sweet red fruit again, cedar wood, minerality, tobacco and some savory herbs. It's medium+ bodied and has medium-high acidity and high tannin. Great length. It's so complex and aromatic, but weightless and Burgundian in style. What a beauty!

  • Medium-light garnet with brownish hue. Discrete, classical Sangiovese nose of tobacco, earth, tar, cloves and some cherry, nice and complex. Enters the palate light bodied and elegant with soft tannins and balance. This is a Brunello ballerina that dances, if you like a lighter, elegant style, look no further! It is a tad weaker in the mid mouth though than the best offerings of the elegant style, preventing a higher score. On the other hand, this has an outstanding QPR, costing half of the Biondi Santi and a fourth of the Cerbaiona.

  • Elegant and muted red fruit aromas on the nose. The palate does a good job of retaining the elegance given the fruit driven nature of the wine. Medium-bodied and neatly packed with ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit with notes of sandalwood and some chalkiness, the finish extends long with notes of mushroom and forest floor.

  • Tasted at merchant tasting. This is a wine that could be overlooked very easily as it is whispering and not screaming. But make no mistake, this is really good stuff. Beautiful aromatics of savory herbs, darker red cherries, minerality, cedar wood and some tobacco. With some air there is also a beautiful menthol note appearing. It's medium+ bodied and feels very weightless for Brunello, but there is some stunning mid-palate density as well. It has medium-high acidity and pretty high tannin (but perfectly ripe). Long finish. A very elegant, weightless and classic Brunello full of finesse. I can't wait to see how it will age into something even better. And within the context of Brunello, it's a stunning value, too. (95+)
