Drank w/seafood platter. Very nice btl indeed. Plenty of butter on the nose w/strong mineral and decent acidity on palate. A very enjoyable btl for sure! Had it emptied in an hr..... Now I need to find more! Went extremely well w/shellfish, just like most of the other Chablis. This is not too far away from most of the grand cru. Happy to stock up @ this price range.

2008 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir Tasting (Gary's Place, Hudson, WI): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 15 minutes. Man, I wish there had been more of this. Very impressive, Nose is very bright with sea shells, apple, lemon. The palate has considerable energy here, lively, sea shells, lemon, crisp, orange peel, apple, apricot. Very long on the finish. Lovely.

Mmmm, mmmmm. Man, this is good. Better as it warms up from cellar temp. Gorgeous nose. There is a scent there which I wish I could identify that is enchanting. I want to call it lemon, but no, then orange, but no. Really nice. A certain nuttiness is present also. On the palate, more of the same, but chalky minerality comes out. Looking at past notes, this must have subsided because it's there but I wouldn't call it intense. A nice tanginess emerges with the chalk on the very long finish. In a really great place right now.

Excellent! 90 pts

Outstanding. Paired it with skate in brown butter with capers, not sure how it would work out but it was quite good bringing out the creaminess of the wine. White flowers, which are piercing, white orchard fruit, petrol and minerals, a touch of honey nut on the nose. Tightly coiled at this point, with rigid acidity, and an overarching structure that prevents a full expression of the fruit at this point. Popped and poured. Pale lemon-gold. Citrus, stone fruits, minerals, and a faint aroma of herbs on the nose. Medium-light body. Tangy flavors of key lime and other citrus notes on the palate, along with green apple, minerals, and just a hint of oak. The moderate-plus level of acidity is very nice. Fluorescent yellow color, like a highlighter. Fairly heavy aromas of lemon, white stone, salt, and meringue. Creamy in the mouth showing lemon meringue pie and quite a bit of freshness. Initial finish is beautifully acidic, and a few seconds after swallowing the flavors really hit their stride. The lemon is what's left lingering minutes later. Not quite as much mineral flavors as I'd hoped for, but very good.

NSMFOW May--Burgundy (The Grapevine, Salem, MA): Pale yellow color. Reticent nose of tart apple and citrus. Palate of tart apple, some lemon, with nice minerality. Very precise. A great wine. Predictably much lighter in character than the Puligny-Montrachet also in the flight. We preferred the Chablis this time though most of the group went in the other direction.

Winestreet Celebrates 2005 Burgundy (Potel, Jadot, Bouchard, Girarding, others): Very pale yellow color. The nose gives an interesting expression of melon, citrus and wintergreen/mint. Simple but enticing. On the palate this has a much thicker mouthfeel but the flavors seem a bit compressed at this time. the concentrated fruit is augmented with a subtle toasted oak that turns a bit dusty/odd (I didn't have time to pinpiont this oddness better) by mid-palate. Nice acidity helps produce a very nice finish.

Second bottle. Huge mineral flavors. Lemons on the palate. Not quite as feminine as most Fourchaume vintages such as the 02, 04, but very typical chablis. This one has the acidity to age well for many years. Loved it.

very light in color, almost like a loire valley white.
nose: a very nice soft nose with lemon&lime as the main citrus notes. Also getting some mineral notes too. All of the flavors integrate well together
taste: extremely smooth mouth. Again, getting the lemon&lime on the mouth with a slight hint of vanilla, and it leaves a very nice lasting finish. I'm still getting a bit of the finish a good minute later
overall: a very nice wine. Not in your face bright on the flavors, but they are certainly there. Extremely easy drinking right now. A really high quality wine

A touch of herbal notes on the nose but the palate is screaming lime and lemon. Background minerality. Somewhat choppy on the midpalate and finish, but still quite nice. Medium palate weight with some acid sticing out especially on the finish. Hey, it's young! Does not have the smooth elegant presentation of the 04 Fevres, though I did not have this exact bottling from 04.

Good, but I wonder if this is not shutting down.

Winestreet Does 2005 Burgundy (Kozlak's, North Oaks, MN): Rounder and smoother in the mouth than the Montmains. Also quite ripe, showing tropical fruit and lemon curd, stony minerals, and a hint of dry botrytis.

Limestone, citrus, minerals on the nose. Minerals, flowers, citrus on the palate. Pale straw colors.

Citrus, minerality, not as high in its acids as previous bottle. Nice.

magnifique vin aux arômes de fleur et de fruit frais, bouche très élégante avec une puissance étonnante et une richesse admirable. Long, déjà complexe avec cet alliage de fruit frais et cette minéralité typique. Vin racé, vraiment excellent! 92 pts
