A big night with a vertical tasting of 6 Caymus Napa Cabs. 1993 - Brown at rim, light in body, nice berry flavor, not much going on and a very shirt finish. Still nice 1997 - Color was good, medium body, more fruit and softer than the 1993. 2003 - A little better than the 1997, full body, round, nice mouth feel, good fruit flavors. 2009 - very enjoyable - full body, fruit and a touch of vanilla at the end. The end lingered for a while. Delicious. 2015 - This was the best, complex, round, drinking perfectly, good finish that lingered for a while. Nice balance of fruit and vanilla bean. 2020 - Good, less complex than the 2015, sweet fruit and vanilla. This could be better in a year. Soft mouth feel, round, delicious.
Great night!

Bought 6b for 30/b 25 years ago; this is #3. Muted purple with hint of amber edge; ripe plums on the nose and palate--fruit prominent but faded. Past prime and disappointing. Will try another before long. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, age, price: Notable.

Color and clarity is in good shape. Body is light. This was hard to drink for the first 20 minutes. Flavors were not good but got a Lot better. Later - upfront did not have anything going on but middle to end have a combination of light berry and fig. There is no Oak left and the finish is pleasant but comes And goes in waves.

Blue Dog with Steph - shared with Flo and Rose - glad this is my last bottle, as I don't think this one has improved since my last in 2013. It is different now, as oak has mellowed, but I am not getting any added complexity. Drink up if you have them. Great wine in a non-reserve bottling that has stood up well for a not so great year for Napa.

Waited way to long. Couldn’t get through the bottle. Got 7 more. Hope they are all undrinkable. Why did these linger around the cellar.
