opened for 4 hours before tasting. the cork fell in the bottle so i transferred the wine in another bottle to slow ox the wine. troubled color with a brown shade. the nose is beautiful, screams aged Vosne Grand Cru. A bit green (stems & vintage) with coffee notes to finish. the palate was medium body and silky with a tracing acidity. very good but could fall from the cliff soon. the 2 previous bottles I had were better.

Excellent bottle condition. Lovely nose of sous bois, red fruit, spice and tea. Delicate and classy palate with precise sweetness. Not a blockbuster wine but resolved and subtle. 92-93

Great Older Wines at the Place to Drink Great Older Wines (Tampa FL): Popped-and-poured. So enticing to start with mature red cherry, berry, lots of earth and Asian five spice. Grand Cru density when first poured. Less fruit and more earth within 20 minutes in glass with a shorter finish and less concentration. 92 points to start, 89 points 20 minutes later, 85 points after open one hour.

With the Easter leg of lamb. I was apprehensive because of the bottle's 3" ullage, but the wine held up splendidly. Honeyed nose, flavours more mouthwatering than complex, and an excellent foil to the umami of the meat. The wine started to show some signs of oxidation after an hour.
