My first A.Rousseau. the nose is amazing- layered, complex Nd dancing between soil and red fruit tones. Palate is several notches down, missing the density, playfulness and length of the bouquet. Expensive for what it's delivering but thankful for chance to try

Tasted blind in a Chardonnay / Pinot Noir tasting. Perfumed with sweet accents of vanilla, leather and earth, white pepper complemented with a mineral dimension. Nice versatility with the fruit becoming sweeter and more defined over time. The palate is fresh and juicy, still a bit of tannin, and dominant acidity. There is a nice follow-through from attack to finish, although in the end a bit of an abrupt end.

JK's 50th Birthday: Compact, blue, actually pretty good weight. Pales slightly next to the 17 Noellat RSV. 93
