Need a little air and not too cold. Gorgeous. At an ideal maturity for me - just enough fizz and beautiful notes of sweet lobster mushrooms, nuts, waxy and green fruits. And old perfume nose, slightly sweet in that fashion. Finish is more vinous and slight sherry notes that are seamless with the body and the whole.

Amber tinted color. Definitely showing some age. Medium effervescence. Some must on the nose upon opening however with some air a rich and toasty nuttiness emerged. On the palate a rich a profile consistent with Dom house style More roasted nuts, almond paste, marzipan. Fully aged at this point but still showing relatively well.

Wine Spectator 40th Anniversary; 10/21/2021-10/23/2021 (Marriott Marquis): This is prob a bit more advanced for its age than it should be but I don’t think it was the best year and bought on secondary market so never know about the storage either. Still, it’s very tasty in that way aged champagne is where maybe a hint of oxidation that turns the flavors more caramel.

Deep lemon in colour. Theres no effervescence left. The nose smells to be oxidised however on the palate, its still drinking fine. Mineral, nutty, caramel. Medium+ acidity and long finish. The given low score was contributed by the slightly faulty nose.
