Lunch Bistro Rex: On opening, the nose is all flint, struck match and smoke, but over 30 minutes or so white stone fruits, brioche and hazelnuts emerge, and merge with the smoke. The palate is deliciously creamy in texture, and the last glass was the best. Needs time but really good. Thank you GF 18.75+.
Home-drinking- consistent with previous note. Followed an Egly Rose and in comparison showed a bit light in terms of personality/singularity. Lots of lemon curd and very yeasty. Very gulpable.

Enjoyed this tremendously. Terrific champagne. Light straw color. Toasty brioche and citrus on the nose. Lovely on the palate with a little lemon, apple, nuttiness. Could I have let it rest longer? Sure. But no complaints with enjoying today.
Beautiful, crisp, honey glazed toasted champagne. In a really good place this was enjoyed for my sisters 50th birthday. Long crisp finish. Highly enjoyable.

Reductive as hell, as I find young DP usually is -- nearly undrinkably so for the first half hour. Started to open up a bit, but I only had one glass and it was mostly gone by that point. The quality of the material is obvious underneath the reduction, but this badly needs air, time, or both.
