  Cassis, leather and tobacco aromas give this a classically rustic nose. Palate is rounded and persistent with dark fruits and fine tannins. This is further along its development than many other 2010s. It’s drinking well now with a splash decant.

  Same notes and overall profile from our last tasting 3.5 years ago, only this has dramatically improved and softened up on the palate. Paired with broiled filet. The nose is slightly restrained, but the fruit on the palate is really coming through with about 5+ hours of air. Some good red-fruit streaks now complementing the deep, blue, brambly fruit, and there are some savory hints emerging into the dusty finish. This is drinking well now but will be best over the next decade. Drink 2023-2033. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.
