Ohh yess, more of that! A perfectly matured, super-typical Julien. Generous, mature fruit, cigar box and sweet spices in the nose. Perfect balance, elegant and very present, lush tertiary aromas, of tobacco, chocolate, sweet spices, tea, supported by a long, harmonic finish. Go for it, now or over the next 3-5 years.

This was wonderful. Nose and initial taste were violet and casis with an overtone of band-aids. Tanins were velvety, and it was medium acidity. Black fruit flavors, but integrated. The floral elements faded fairly quickly. Decanted for an hour. Drink now. This was my last bottle.

The last bottle of twelve bought in 2004. Garnet in colour, quite a bit of sediment but was stood up in the cellar for a week or so. Popped and poured but would have benefitted from decanting as it opened up and gave more over the course of the evening.

Medium red with brick halo color. Tobacco bouquet. Medium bodied and concentrated. Mature. Drink up. Has dropped a little fruit.

No signs of aging at the rim, fruit, earthy, fresh spiciness and good acidity, a bit thin, medium length. A very good wine.
