2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Initially thought slightly corked. Coiled nose displaying subdue white fruit, apple, pear, spicy spices and crushed rocks. Very good concentration, coiled white fruit, excellent balance, precision and focus, piercing acidity, strong limestone mineral, and a long coiled white fruit driven finish. This is a very precise mineral driven wine.

Extraordinary - Prüm impresses me again. Still a young wine wir´th great acidity, intense, precise fruit, citrus-notes, minerals and that forgiving sweetness at the end. Will live 10 years easily. #DasWeinhaus#PB

Can never go wrong with JJ Prum. Here we have a perfect partner to Singaporean-Malay seafood dishes. The acidity and the sugar comes together to build something that's just straight out tasty and beautifully expressive. Only 7.5% abv, so you need this in much bigger format. Like a faucet or something.
Pale straw color in the glass. Sharp scents of petrichor and petrol upfront with the faintest hint of lemongrass in the background. Soft and medium bodied juice with a great balance of acid which brings about a nice round mouth feel. On the palate, apple skins, mineral and lemon all meld together with incredible balance and a lengthy finish. A fantastic Spätlese from 2008 that is showing very well now and in no danger of slowing down anytime soon. Drink now and hold years yet.

(WEHL-SONN Spatlese JJ PRUM) 2008 JJ Prum Spatlese Dear Friends, We've offered a lot of Riesling lately but this is our only chance at Prum's 2008 Spatlesen at this price level. In 2008, this cadre of Spètlese may as well be Prum's Auslesen. The vintage had its home with Kabinett and Spatlese and Manfred Prum was not about to let a classic (even magical) Spètlese vintage escape him. In recent years the US market has focused mainly on two JJ Prum wines at this pradikat level (Wehlener and Graacher) but, in 2008, the epicenter was so obvious to Manfred Prum that he felt a need to resuscitate his emphasis on two other vineyards that were far more prevalent at this house during the 1980's and 1990's (Bernkasteler Badstube and Zeltinger-Sonnenuhr). While everyone will chases the Wehlener due its history and relative fame among Riesling aficionados and historians, do not ignore the other three. In 2008, you will find a windfall of riches at the Spètlese level and (as it usually is) JJ Prum finds itself among the very best wines of the vintage. If you have any interest in this parcel, please let us know at your earliest convenience: 2008 JJ Prum Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spètlese 2008 JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spètlese 2008 JJ Prum Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spètlese 2008 JJ Prum Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spètlese Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Germ3486 Germ3487 Germ3488 Germ3489

This varietal is just not for me. It’s neither Sweet nor dry as I think about it, caught somewhere in the middle
