Served side by side with the 2001. I just did not understand these wines very well. Tart crunchy red fruit and lively acidity, but lacked characteristics that distinguished it for me.

More similar than not to the 2001 in terms of its redcurrant and cranberry notes with a slight cola edge to it. I’m surprised not to see more complexity at age 21. Pretty and clean, but it doesn’t grab me.
