Deep golden color; dried apricot, spices, marmalade, candied pineapple, botrytis notes, intriguing complex aromas; powerful on the palate with intense fruit/spice/botrytis notes, sweet but not cloying with long tangy finish. Shabu Shabu at Kyoko's w/K,N,L

A private dinner at a friend's (Warmond, NL): Deep and rich and big, powerful and concentrated, huge drive and weight, medium sweet, honey and cream, tropical fruit, big and weighty, no elegance but oodles of power, excellent resonance and length.

By the glass. Evolved colour, like liquid marmalade. That's not the worst description of the wine's smell and taste, either; pretty sweet, a fair (and compensating) amount of acidity, intense orange moving towards burnt lime. That lovely barley sugar nose and hint of millefeuille I so often get from Rieussec, too. Yum.

Dark gold/yellow; a stunner, with pure apricot, honey, tea, petrol, and on and on. Very complex, rich, sweet, yet still good tang and lift. Super super long, extremely nice Sauternes. In a great place right now. Very happy after having taken a break from these wines for a number of years. Brian's w/M&D

Golden and delicious. Rich but not cloying. Decent flavor depth.
