Ready to go as soon as it was opened. Far from a bruiser -- a lighter, fresher version of Napa. Herbaceous nose of tobacco, menthol and earth. Cherry, raspberry and stone on the palate with largely resolved tannins.

Top shoulder fill. Classic, Bordeaux like nose. Notes of ash. Bright, lively palate. Maybe not quite as robust as my last goes with it but it certainly turned out to be among the best wines of the evening. Terrific.

This is a beautiful elegant Napa classic. Plum, pencil, cedar and thyme. Bit of capsicum and gravel. Such a perfectly pitched cabernet with gets an edge of bell pepper and mint as it opens.

Beautiful off the bat - plummy, cedar, pencil, a touch capsicum. A classical profile that I’d like to think I might guess as mature Napa given its natural ripeness. Probably best shortly after decanting, becoming more green with air. But this is fresh and lovely with vim at the opening.

Bring Out Your Dead – "I’m not dead yet!" Tasting (Robin's House, Cardiff-by-the-Sea CA): Good color, minimal bricking. Earthy nose. Silky texture, beautiful balance of fruit and earth. Very Bordeaux like.
