Beautiful bouquet with white and yellow fruits and some brioche. Same on the palate, beautiful acidity, limestone minerals and a great length. Great and harmonious bubble.

Completely surprised me but in a good way. I've never thought much of the 2000 vintage which to me has always seemed a bit less expressive and yet not quite as likely to manage the age. This made me reconsider. The wine is still incredibly fresh. Bright. Easy drinking. Not as complex or quite as interesting as the '98, but much younger and perhaps it just needs a lot more time to show itself. It was very lovely.

Drank alongside the 2006 CdC. Showing some development but still no rush. Brioche nose, citrus fruit palate with solid weight and body. Acidity is still lively. No shame is opening these now but zero rush and these can easily age another decade. Outstanding.
