Sherry in colour. Initially rubber and after 30 min in bottle. Nose of tea, hawthorn. Medium tannin and acidity. Sweet cooked red fruits. Taste is better than nose. Drinking well.

Compelling in every sense of the word, the rose hip tea colored wine was stunning! The purity of fruit, freshness and silky, elegant, refined textures was off the hook. The cherries tasted like they were just picked off the vine. There was an almost port-like sweetness to the red fruit. There was length, expansion of flavors and so much, cherry, kirsch, bay leaf, Asian spice box and licorice, you just kept going back for me. Worth the money? I suppose that depends on your net-worth and sense of value. But value aside, this was an astounding wine tasting experience. The bottle came from the original purchaser, which I am sure added to the quality of the wine.

bursting with complex aroma of violets, spices, forest floor. light colour and perhaps fading but what a privilege to sample such a wonderful expample of old DRC. better than the 66 La Tache tasted side by side.

Clear, pure, elegant and powerful, crystalline even... amazing wine. Does not have the grip of the La Tache '62 in the same flight, but it is a beautiful wine... nit - touch of a watery mid-palate. The finish goes and goes, gently fading.

62 Night. Heavily soiled bottle and discouraging brownish hue. Puer tea nose and very dark palate.
