Opened in Hong Kong. DRC Assortment Tasting. Slow-oxed for a few hours before serving.
This was a clear step up from the cuvees served before it. Wonderful stemmy nose coupled with intense red, blue and black fruits that kept unfurling with more air and time in the glass. Got a bit more floral with air too. Great staying power, and the palate was exactly what you'd expect from a great burgundy: light yet meaty and spicy; effortless yet always lingering. Excellent Richebourg.
This will continue to develop, but is also quite accessible now with some air. I'd like to see where this is in about 3+ years - but if you do decide to drink it now, give it enough air and you won't be disappointed!

Compared to the 2017 RSV we just had, this seemed a bit more serious. Darker druit, more meat, tannic and coarser spice. Opened quite a bit over 2 hours. Can’t wait to see what this does over the next 10years.

Richebourg and Meursault: Opened an hour before pouring. Much more structured and unyielding out of the gate, this needed lots of air to start to show. Strong, muscular core with dark purple fruit and a finish for days. This has the longest window, but just not as ready to drink tonight compared to the 13. Probably was even better the next day after it relaxed a bit.

Trying to drink this but ZB telling his Paige story. Wasting time. Back to it — gorgeous red fruit, hints of cranberry. Unfortunately has fallen flat about an hour in, a touch bitter. @ Gramercy Tavern

Fantastic from magnum. Floral, integrated, red fruited juice. (173/13928)
