Zachy's La Paulee 2022 (Le Bernardin Prive): Family favorite for a reason. Clean, resolved, such finesse in its juiciness. Jammy black fruit with lacy acidity. Yummy! 93-94

On the nose a bit of Burgundy funk. But the wine itself tastes really amazing with a surprising depth given the vintage. Maybe needs more time in a decanter (1-3 hours) before drinking. Opened up after an hour of decanting. Great with the duck we are eating this evening.

Took over 2.5 hours in the bottle to fully open up. Potpurri, perfume and sweet red fruit on the nose. Palate is very elegant and transperent that expresses the sweet red fruit in a flowery way. The last glass is the best. Give it 2-3 more years before opening yours. Very good wine despite the weaker vintage.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Oxidative, earthy nutty, too advanced for me. I wonder if the Rouseau bottles all came from the same provenance or transport batch as they were not in the best shape.

Breathtaking elegance in a bottle. Classy red fruit, flowers and spice. It is drinking at peak now!
