so glad I have 5 more of these... the 2007 vintage has continued to be an upside surprise and wish I had purchased more... it is Chevillon and it is NSG for gosh sakes, so there is balance between the great acidity and the body... perfect tension and gets a 9+-out-of-10 score for both body and lift... copious fruit with minerals swirling... wow

Translucent ruby color. Nose of high-pitched but pleasantly searing violets, plum blossom, sweet craggy earth, saline, and pine-scented iodine. Layers of sharp, sweet red berry and dark plum fruit underpinned by savory earthy tones, iron granules, and medicinal spine. Arched acidity and firm but seasoned tannin. Long finish of brambly red fruit cut with iron and dirt. Beautiful wine full of character and lively charm with years of life left. Last bottle of six, a great run over 10 years.

Mixed WTDS: AKA "Bring a Nice Bottle" (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Medium red color. PNP, drank a glass over 2 hours plus. This was a rocking bottle tonight, JFG. The nose is so expressive and perfumed with florals, cherry, iron, anise, sauvage, game and gorgeous NSG spices. The palate has that ethereal featherweight character with lift and energy, medium bodied, cherries, dried spices, charcoal, sauvage, iron and fresh leather on a nice long finish. Love the parallels of '07 in Oregon and Burgundy. Fantastic now, no rush. My and group #2 WOTN.

no notes so NR, but remember this being very nice, especially for the $90'ish I paid for it in 2014

Still dining outside in MN October (St. Genevieve): Red-fruited, delightfully gravelly, crunchy cherry, red berries and earth on a lightweight frame.
