This DRC Richebourg has the usual richness and depth. Very good on its own, but lacks elegance when drinking alongside with 99 La Tache.

The 99 DRC Richebourg exhibited minerals, iron, dark fruit, chalk, stems, black tea, wilted flowers and spice. It had latent and humble power which expanded in the glass in an effortless way.

This wine has it all. Depth, power, grip, density, gravitas, aromatics, earth and a healthy dose of je ne sais quois. I like my richebourg on the powerful side so this was an ideal window for me to taste this again. Did not disappoint.
