Decanted and served. Medium brick red with more browning on the rim. Fully mature but not in decline. Blackberries on the nose and on the palate. There's also a nice minerality on the palate along with balanced tannins and acid, but the tannins are a bit drying. Still a very good wine with a few more years of good drinking ahead of it before starting to decline.

Garnet red color. Port-like scents of caramel and candied fruit, with red berries and forest floor. On the palate wild strawberries and intense minerality integrated with smooth oak tannins. Fading fast with air but still a unique take on Beaujolais.

Struck me as a really impressive wine and amazine QPR but it's WAY too early to drink. decanted 3 hrs prior to starting to drink, and only after another 2 hours did it start to come around. give it a few more years. Wish I had more.

Beaujolais Offline (Wine-Pages) (Rotisserie Jules, South Ken, London): Denser, more velvety fruit on the nose. Plush almost. Slightly dusty tannins. Strawbberry and plum. Needs to be a bit cooler. ***

I'm pretty sure this was corked, so disappointing. I'll taste it again tomorrow but I doubt the tca will blow off.
