clear, pale gold in colour. nose is clean and full of floral notes such as iris and violet. also seems like some fresh cut honeydew in here too.. the nose is great! also hints of oak.
the wine is dry, with med acidity and med- body. a slightly waxy/lanolin flavor is left on the finish, which is not long but does linger (is that a contradiction in terms?!). will need to taste it chilled down as this is all at room temp.

55F, PnP. Light yellow. Pretty nose with apricot, gravel, flowers. Nice attack but mid palate lacking then long finish. Not as full bodied as I thought. A bit of oak. Anise, stone fruit, some spice and complexity with barely enough acid but somehow the entire package was a bit disappointing - maybe between new and aged white. Maybe I just like viognier younger.

One of the best 2009 Condreiu's I have tasted. This wine continues to taste fresh, and I even prefer this over the much more expensive Lorraine bottling from the same vintage.
I prefer Condrieu with a few years of bottle age to it, as this wine has become much more expressive over the course of the last 2 years.
An excellent example of another quality Guigal offering.
Condrieu has always been one of my favorite white wines to serve with a large variety of cuisine, and this 2009 Guigal remains on the top of my list, and I'm happy to have several bottles left in my cellar.

Golden yellow color. Complex wine with layers of fruit, spices, minerality, smoke and herbs. Works well with food, but better to be drank alone.

Lovely peach, vanilla, spice. Full-bodied & luscious but not at all flabby. Had with creamy curry & it worked well.
