Unico 1964 and this wine were consumed on the same day
How this wine will stands up after iconic Unico and how will fight with 42 years time in the bottle? 🕤⏰🕐 Chianti - of course, this wine is not of the same class, but it is also excellent. First of all, it is much lighter, if only because it contains 12.5% alcohol. But on the other hand, it contains very interesting and original smells and flavors. Aromas: walnut (I found such a smell only in Siepi and Musar wines), menthol (something like a good Riesling), cherry jam (dominant aroma), nutmeg, spices,... herbs and note - the smell of tires (confirmed by the other 3 people who drink). Taste - cherry, smoked plum, red currant, milk chocolate, orange, nutmeg, herbs. Short finish. The wine is the most original and the most drinkable. While I had no doubts that Unico would be excellent, Chianti pleasantly surprised me.

Nose developed for sure, Floral/Germanium caramel and very dried sour cherry. Lots of Acid, hit by VA for sure, bright, very little fruit nose was more interesting, tho died after about 2hrs
