Provides a lot of immediate gratification but I feel it's at an in-betweeny state. There's still plenty of upfront pear and white peach, but it's developing the beeswax character of aged Riesling, with saline and umani notes. there's a teeny hint of sugary sweetness that's not fully integrated, but that will come with time I think. Otherwise, this has great balance and poise, with the Klaus's tendency towards the ascetic nicely offset by a generous Dionysian character

Klaus-siege II. (Szeged, Hungary (at the"club")): Similar as usual. Clean, ripe, typical riesling aromatics. Probably not that intense (but still very impressive) attack as the previous one, but for the second half of the sip it makes a more focussed finish with extreme good length. 93-94

Birthday party in Budapest: Restrained first, but starts to open in the glass. Perhaps not that aromatic or Riesling-like as the ones from Mosel, but shows lovely citrusy freshness and great clarity. I think no Botrytis affected this. Round, fleshy on the palate with integrated acidity. Fuller but perfectly fresh, no late harvest feel to it. Aftertaste could be more intense.
